Guest House Bunk

The Guest House Bunk was such a beautiful stay. The lodge itself is very cozy and warm with beautiful decor of shells and unique delicate wall hangings made by the owners wife. The breakfast served in a cozy room with a fire place also the offer of dinner to purchase every night if you would like to stay in after big day on the slopes. To mention Sasa the owner is a fantastic cook. Sasa is very accommodating and is very attentive to where you want to ski each day for he will shuttle you to and fro and also give local advice on the mountains that are best for each day’s conditions. The Main Street of Akakura is a 15-20 minute walk from the accommodation.

This place is amazing and Sasa is a fabulous host. The location is great, the facilities and rooms are perfect. Sasa was amazing, took us to the slopes, train station and really made the stay perfect. The breakfast was also a great start to the day.

The Guest House Bunk is located quite close to to a few ski resorts in the neighbourhood. The room was simple but comfortable enought for a ski trip. The host, Sasa, is amazing, he helped a lot with transportation from and to the train station and gave shuttle rounds for all guests to and from ski areas every day. The common room has plenty of space and is cozy in the evenings with soft music and warm fireplace. Coffee and tea are free for the guests 24/7. The property provides with everything one needs, towels, linen and even toothbrushes or flipflops if required. There is a drying room for wet cloths and a room in the basement for ski equipment. The village is 20 minutes away walking with enormous amount of great cafees and restaurants.

Be prepared for the queues to the shower rooms in the evenings as there are only 2 of them for all guests. Not a big deal in my humble opinion though. Just be patient and chill by the fireplace.
