What a beautiful region! The house sits in a lovely valley looking towards the karst cliffs.
The house is equipped with everything you need to cook. The water in the shower was hot. The wood burning stove was very comfy for someone like me who doesn’t have one at home. Falling asleep to the crackling of the wood was comforting. I slept well both nights I was there. It was cozy and cute.
There is a market just a few minutes walk away. It has meat/eggs/bread/limited fruits and veggies. They also accept cards.
The access to hike Piatra Secuiului is easy. Just walk a few minutes through the town and you are on the trail. There are trails and an old fortress on the other side of the valley that you can see once you start hiking. I only stayed two nights, if you wanted to do a longer stay it seems like there are ample hiking opportunities.
The hosts were both friendly and welcoming.
