Comfy, spacious and plenty of wquiomnet.

We had a fantastic winter weekend stay in Sefton house for 7 adults. The house was warm, comfortable and had plenty of space. When we arrived the whole place was warm, clean and tidy with all the beds made up and a welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk sachets and biscuits) on the side in the kitchen. We cooked a Christmas Dinner and found the kitchen was very well equipped with utensils, pots, cutlery and crockery; finding we had plenty of space for all of us around the dining room table. As it was Christmas time the decoration touches around the house were lovely. We were lucky and had no problems parking up outside. I would thoroughly recommend Sefton House for a self catering break.

Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but the mattress on the first floor double bed is not the most comfortable as it collapses somewhat at the sides.

A good place to stay near to Keswick Town Centre

This was a lovely property for 4 adult friends to use for a break in the Lake District . It was very clean and comfortable and an easy walk into Keswick . Convenience store a couple of minutes walk away and Booths which has a very good range of food and drink around 10-15 minutes walk . Adequate towels and comfortable beds . Lots to do and easy to get around without using the car . Bus service is excellent for trips out to Grasmere and Ambleside or getting back from the other end of Derwentwater . We also used the boat service which was very good but more expensive than the bus . Key safe was very useful as it meant we didn't need to worry if we split up after going out as we could always get back in

On arrival we had to park in another street but by the morning there were a few spaces outside so moved the car and as we didn't use it again after that so this wasn't a problem . The spaces do soon fill up as people must park there for the day so worth getting up early to move the car . It would be nice to have another set of twin beds rather than the bunk beds but on balance we liked having a room each as there were 4 of us . There were 2 bathrooms which was useful .

Great base to see the Lakes

The property was a perfect cosy base for our Keswick walks and stay. Beds were comfortable and the facilities were great for a group. We particularly liked the big dining table which was great for a sharing tea. Only issue we had was the two double rooms at the front of the house have no blinds and thin curtains so it got light very early which disturbed me as a light sleeper.

Given it was over Christmas, would have expected a Christmas tree to be up. It was a shame that there wasn’t one. Oven shelves quite dirty with burnt on bits. TV setup is a bit strange. Very difficult to find Channels 1-5!

Great accommodation and only a short walk into central Keswick

Centrally located and nearby off road parking. Very clean and comfortable. We were a family group of 6 adults and this was perfect for us and we wish we were staying longer. Will definitely stay again. A very well maintained old property with character but also very modern appliances. Comfortable beds and quality bed linen.

My only observation and not a criticism is that a small tv in each bedroom would be advisable .

Electricity tripping off during celebration meal went off total 6 times electricion said it was cooker but it wasn't. Promised sorted first thing Monday but it didn't happen very let down

Lovely terraced house in the centre of Keswick

Lovely terraced house in the centre of Keswick, a short walk away from the shops and buses. The kitchen, dining area & lounge on the ground floor had everything we needed and were big enough for the seven of us. The bedrooms on the 1st & 2nd floors were clean and spacious, and it was nice that the double on the 2nd floor had an en-suite bathroom.

The sink was a bit small in the en-suite bathroom, and the 2nd floor double bedroom had a sloped ceiling so taller guests should sleep on the left side of the bed! :-)

A very pleasant stay in Keswick, with warm sunny weather

The house was very clean, with up-to-date systems, i.e.good running hot water etc. generally well equipped. Location very good and quiet.

For us personally, My husband and I, and two elderly sisters, the beds were too firm and not really comfortable (we probably have better quality mattresses at home). We would have appreciated a ground level toilet facility. You have to remember to step down, to dining room and down again to kitchen. The non stick cooking pans were no longer non stick - so cooked breakfasts were difficult.

Two key lock boxes by the front door, was slightly confusing on arrival! Parking was difficult, but as expected in central Keswick.
