Gem City Condo *5 Bed *Home Theater *Game Room

We flew in to Dayton from Texas. The house was very clean and we enjoyed staying there. The only down fall is there is only one room with a closet or place to store your clothes. Also was not a fan of downloading an app on my phone to use the remote. The theater room was nice but wish the projector and pun system would have worked while there. The host communicated promptly when we brought it to his attention. He sent someone out but it still didn’t didn’t get fixed. We stayed 3 days with no theater room.

Enjoyed our stay at the location. Great place to hang out for family and large group. Theatre room was awesome wish we had more time to use. Location looks to have been recently updated on flooring and place was clean. Owner was always responsive to any questions/concerns. Would recommend the place and stay again in the future.

I messaged the owner several times about location to University of Dayton - he said it was 4 miles. It was double that! The house felt unclean in parts (carpets are gross) and there’s just a lot of wear & tear not maintained. It’s in a pretty shady part of town too - that would have been helpful to have been disclosed. The owner was very communicative during our stay. Theater room IS cool. Wouldn’t stay here again though!

Stayed during the state basketball tournament. Great place to return to at night and watch the NCAA games on the big screen!

Loved the property, and the location. All kinds of interesting decorations on the interior.

We have 5 kiddos, and they never got board. The theater room was the biggest hit! They enjoyed having their own rooms/space to sleep. Overall, it was defiantly a great host to have for the weekend getaway with the kiddos.

Place was comfortable. Neat space. Theater room was a plus!!!

Would book it again and may plan on it next year 2023

Family and I stayed here for a local wedding. We had trouble with the second floor shower leaking. Maintenance came to temporarily fix the issue but the next day we ran into the same problem. Overall it was a nice place. Just needs to fix the shower leak and replace the carpet where shower leaked down on first floor.

House was clean and organized, check in was easy, décor is awesome and Steve would respond to me almost instantly anytime we had questions. The Theatre room is amazing and where we spent most of our time. Overall just a great stay, thank you for making it such a special weekend.

The property is a very nice place to stay due to activities such as using the theater, poker table and dining table for boardgames and the like.

Stayed here over a long weekend for a local wedding. Property was very clean, well decorated, and had a great living space. Theater room was a great place to hang out and the sound didn't travel to other rooms upstairs, so we could watch TV/movies later at night without waking our kids.

Girls trip for 5 people. We all had our own bedroom. Huge plus. Unit very clean.

A family gathering for our 90 year old Aunt. We enjoyed the Dayton area. Shiloh Condo was enough room for our small out of town group. Very unique decor and had all the extras we needed.

Overall the place is mostly what it appears to be. Bedrooms are sort of small, but theatre room was great. It was cold when we were there and the heat rises to the second floor, but doesn’t heat the first floor quite as well. The host was very responsive and overall the place suited our needs.

We had a nice stay. The place is decorated as shown. The theater room was great and easily accessible right off the kitchen. There is no outdoor space except the parking spaces. Our friends rented two bedroom apartment in the front half of the building which was very convenient for us.

Great place to stay. We were in town for basketball and this fit all of our housing needs. The theater room is definitely a big hit!

If you're looking for a property to use and hang out in, this is the place. It's got a poker table, a large dining table and another 4 person table. Couple that with the theater and you have a lot of entertainment space for playing cards, boardgames and watching movies - or just hanging out and catching up with friends and family. My group was perfectly content staying in given the pandemic and we couldn't have asked for a better place.

We really enjoyed our stay! We used this property as a meeting and overnight space for our wedding and loved it. The kitchen area is especially lovely as well as the downstairs bedroom (built in crib for little one!) and entertainment room. Upstairs is fun with the themed bedrooms so everyone felt like they got to choose a personalized space. Some spots could use a little updating but was overall great. Parking is easy in back and plenty of room for all.

This owner wants to please! Steve was very good to talk with and was quick to answer any and all questions we had. It is our understanding that he just took over this unit and I am certain that once he addresses a few things, you will be giving him a 5* rating! It was a great place for us to participate in a 4-day virtual conference together. The kitchen had lots of staples for us to use, and there were plenty of linens. Great check in and out process and the movie room was perfect for our conference!!

My friends and I had a great time at this beautiful property. We enjoyed it so much that we're currently trying to figure out another reason to book again. Steve was also very helpful toward the end of our stay with us needing an additional hour after checkout time. he replied quickly and was very pleasant.

What a fun place for the family. The host was very responsive whenever we had any questions.

We needed a property that could comfortably hold 10 adults and it did not disappoint. There were 5 bedrooms which were all very nice and had comfortable beds. I had one of the bunk bed rooms and, as an adult, I opted to put the top bunk mattress on the floor of the bedroom which there was plenty of room to do. The kitchen was very nice and I enjoyed how it was centrally located on the main floor and the "balcony" style second floor allowed everyone to see into the kitchen was the main area where we were if not out and about or outside. The gathering areas are nice and can accommodate large sit down gatherings up to 8 people in the dining area, 4 people in the kitchenette area, 6 people at a second floor area, and about 4-5 in the second floor couch area. The inside was very clean and all linens were provided. The property appears to be undergoing some renovation and there was some random light construction trash outside of the unit which did not provide the best first impression but it is soon forgotten when you enter the unit. We came to the area to go to Yellow Springs but happened upon Dayton Pride which was great because we had easy access to both Yellow Springs (30-40 minute drive) and downtown Dayton where the Pride festivities were (about a 10 minute drive). The area where the house was located was within an easy drive to Dayton though not walkable. Communication with our host was easy and he was very responsive. The checkout time of 10am is a little early for me and the crowd that I was with but you can stay longer for an additional fee. I do feel that the fee was too expensive and so a less expensive fee or an 11am or 12pm checkout time would be nice-but hey, we didn't have to rush around in the morning so the fee was nearly worth it. I think what I paid per night was reasonable but just slightly on the high side given that it is not within walking distance to the city center-Not being from Dayton, I did not realize that the Dayton area was as large as it is so that's on me. Overall it was a nice place to stay for a little weekend getaway and I'd recommend the stay.

This condo fit our needs for traveling with a group for soccer. We couldn’t get the theatre room to work as an HDMI cable was missing. Owner tried to help over messaging, but we were missing cable. Neighborhood is a little rough lots of loud music at night and didn’t let kids go out after dark. Weird water/pump situation with grinder pumps ans shower. It sleeps a lot of people but only 2 bathrooms. Overall it met our needs for the weekend and was clean.
