Anciens bâtiments de ferme très bien rénovés et agencés avec goût. Un jardin et une piscine très bien entretenus et des plus agréables pour se détendre et se rafraichir. Nous y avons passé une excellente semaine de vacances, pour profiter des charmes de la région... Accueillis par des hôtes agréables et disponibles. Maison dans un village isolé, avec piscine et pool house, très agréable. Ancienne ferme reconvertie, chambres de taille moyenne. Cuisine équipée mais il faut porter des torchons.

We had a nice stay at this house and enjoyed a real relaxing holiday. Roffey is a small village surrounded by meadows, great for walks in nature and we saw some wild animals. The downside of this was that you had to use the car to get food, in the end that was fine. The best thing about this house is the swimming pool with sunbeds and lounge sofas, surrounded by walls and therefore completely private. The house itself is old-fashioned but that also fits the atmosphere. If it were up to us, a little more kitchen equipment could have been added and the double beds were a bit small for two people. But overall, this house really had everything you need. The hosts did not speak English like was mentioned in the Ad, but we made it work. At the end of our stay, we had a miscommunication about the cleaning costs. We had chosen to pay them for cleaning. When checking out, we tidied up the house, put the kitchenwear back, removed our garbage, took the covers off the beds and put a cloth over everything. When the landlord came, she was upset, which we didn’t expect. She wanted us to pay double for cleaning cost instead of the normal fee. We thought that was rather exagerated since nothing specific was communicated in advance about cleaning the house. In the end we agreed with her partner that we would pay more, but not double. Specific and clear communication in advance would have prevented this rather unpleasant closing of our stay.
