Serena al Casalone, Design apartment in Private Chianti Estate, pool WIFI A/C

The apartment was absolutely fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family with older teens. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The location, however, was more remote than we had anticipated. With hindsight, it may have been better to stay somewhere with more nearby options for teenagers to explore on foot. Do be aware that the drive up to the apartment involves some steep hills, so a car with enough power is definitely needed.

Modern and traditional with all the features of a Tuscan style “Casale”, the property is great, clearly it newly refurbished, redecorated and it is a delight with its new Italian design furniture. Within the fantastic and unique settings of the Tenuta di Arceno, we spent a happy weekend with our two daughters of four and eleven. The views are to die for, in spite of the autumn weather we could enjoy the outside terrace, garden and the colours of nature. Spent some time in exploring the nearby villages of San Gusmè and Villa a Sesta, had a delicious dinner in Castlenuovo, even our girls ate freshly made pasta with meat sauce and loved it! Upon our arrival the welcome at the house has been warm and efficient, communication before arrival with Anna was great and the surprise of a yummy welcome basket with local delicacies and wine was an unexpected gift. We have added the property to our “to be returned” holiday home top list. We shall be back in summer!

We loved it! Part of an old-time farmhouse this retreat from the everyday rigors of life was a breath of fresh air, literally! Far from the madding crowd to be peaceful, relaxed, and comfortable, yet near enough to the local amenities for restaurants, shopping, and sight-seeing in nearby Siena this place is a haven, or should we say heaven? ‘Serena’ is part of a classically Tuscan built homestead, yet the interior is ‘a la mode’- very modern indeed! Outside, we had our own private garden with a tremendous view, alongside the garden, we could see the occasional deer in the nearby forest. A terrace with sunshades, sun loungers, along with table and chairs for breakfast or aperitives, BBQ, et al. This++ s was wonderful! Indoors, we had TV in every room, air-con, a Jacuzzi tub for two in the master suite and if that was not enough the accommodation had almost any amenity one could wish for and with a concierge service to assist us. There’s an abundance of information about local events, places to go! It doesn’t better than this!
