Quiet Studio - Personal Welcome - Near Basel

I’d keep this warm and personal rather than making it sound like a generic accommodation review. You have several details that make Karsten’s hospitality stand out, so I’ve kept those while tightening the chronology and repetition. We booked this studio in Saint-Louis through Booking.com for a week exploring Basel, and had a genuinely excellent stay. Communication with the host was friendly and hospitable from the beginning. We were asked for our guest details in advance, all very standard, and were given helpful advice on getting to the property. When we arrived, we met Karsten, who was friendly, welcoming and very thorough in showing us around. He asked our permission to set up a WhatsApp group between himself and the two of us, and made it clear that if we had any problems at all, he would much rather we contacted him immediately so he could help than discover them afterwards in a review. I really appreciated that approach. There was also a binder full of laminated information covering seemingly everything we might need during our stay: useful local numbers, recommendations, practical information and places we might want to know about. We had already done quite a lot of research ourselves, but it was still useful to see Karsten’s recommendations and discover things we might have missed. Even practical details such as where to dispose of our rubbish were included, which was particularly welcome during the heatwave! The studio itself is exactly as described and photographed. There are two comfortable beds with some storage underneath, bedside tables, and a properly set-up desk with plenty of room for me to work. The internet connection was consistently strong, which was important as I was working during part of our stay. There is also a TV with a Fire Stick, although we didn’t end up using it. There’s a cute little sitting area with a side table, microwave, kettle and coffee maker, plus a good-sized refrigerator with a very small freezer compartment.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans un appartement très confortable, très bien équipé, d’une propreté exceptionnelle . Il se situe dans une rue calme et bien situé : on est rapidement en Suisse ou en Allemagne, idéal pour visiter la région. Le parking dans la rue juste devant la maison. La gentillesse et la disponibilité de Carima, merci pour tout, vous êtes exceptionnelle. Nous reviendrons lors de notre prochain séjour.
