* Room was Okei but please don’t expect much since it is in the middle of the jungle there are a lot of insects. It’s a thatched roof and debris falls whenever there is a strong or moderate wind. * Toilet needs additional lighting and urinal needs thorough cleaning it smells no matter how many times we flash it. Other than these 2 Chai Lai Orchid was worth it seeing the elephants specially the morning wake up call. The staff are all accommodating.

The hotel was incredible. Being greeted by elephants in the morning and being in the middle of no where was amazing. There were a significant number of bugs in the room and my room had dirty towels. The staff was incredibly kind and besides the upselling I would say the value for money was pretty good.

The overall visit was a great experience. The rooms were adequate but the views are great. Time with the elephants was a little disappointing, you can pay for a morning visit which lasts about ten minutes, otherwise you can feed the elephants for two hours in the afternoon. The resort also has a bit of a dog problem, lots of dogs running around and barking. We ordered food from the restaurant in the evening and it was very tasty, the breakfast was not my thing though. Being woken up the the elephants will be an experience i will never forget and the baby elephant was so cute.
