About this house rental
Top Notch West is a wonderfully furnished and fully equipped oceanfront duplex (West side). Located just steps from the beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear waters of Emerald Isle, dolphins are frequently seen from this home. This lovely home comfortably sleeps 11 guests and is equipped with free wifi, cable, and TVs in all bedrooms.
This spacious duplex has ample room to spread out in the well appointed kitchen and open living/dining room space. The two dining tables seat 12 with additional bar seating for four. Also on this level is a full bathroom and a large soundfront bedroom with a twin and queen bed. Three bedrooms are on the second floor - 1 oceanfront king master suite and 1 oceanfront queen, both with deck access and 1 soundfront bedroom with 2 twin beds). The entire third floor is an oceanfront master suite with private deck.
A private, spray off area and outdoor shower (with hot & cold water) make clean-up easy. There is an outdoor charcoal grill with picnic table seating. Up to two well-behaved dogs (depending on size, breed) are welcome with a $150 non-refundable deposit.

This Beach House & Our Experience lived Up & Beyond it’s Name…”Top Notch”Everything about This House was The Best we have ever experienced and we have done a lot of B&B, Hotel stays; also, VRBO rentals over the years!! This House and Host were Truly Amazing and we are Very Grateful we found this Beautiful Beach House on Emerald Isle. We thoroughly enjoyed Every moment of our Time here!! Thank You, Amy, for being such a Great Host🤩🩷

Pros:We loved the atmosphere of the rooms between the natural light and the beautiful blue walls. The location was perfect, quiet and relaxing. Comfortable beds, great shower water pressure and drainage. Relatively close to resturaunts, coffee shops, ect. Opportunities for improvement:Bathroom on 3rd floor toilet doesn't flush properly Battery in the kitchen clock is deadBaseboards, all white doors, and the stair banisters were filthy with obvious dirt marks and fingerprints. Bathroom on main living area was found to be leaking above trash cans outside under the car port.Nails on all the decks and walkway to the beach have several nail heads sticking up.04/16/26: A suprise visit from property manager shouting at our back deck, which was akward and felt a little invasive. A simple message on VRBO would have been sufficient. Both lamps in the room with the king size bed are burnt out. The bathroom (king bed room) hand towel rack kept falling off the wall. One of the kitchen stools is wobbly. Several of the screws holding it together needs to be tightened. My very least favorite thing was when my dog found a mystery pill on the kitchen floor. This leads me to believe even further that the place wasn't cleaned properly before our arrival, especially when renters are being charged 300 for it. Unfortunately, we would be reluctant to rent this place again just based on the simple cleanliness level and potential safety concerns surrounding the home and property.

This home is in the perfect location to enjoy the beach and peaceful views of the ocean (pictures are accurate). Amy accommodated our last minute reservation and provided helpful, prompt communication. The home was clean and had everything we needed. There was nobody staying next door so it was especially quiet - which we loved. We definitely look forward to visiting again and recommend this home to others.
