About this cottage rental
Sea Glass is the perfect getaway cottage on the beach with breathtaking Atlantic views from all windows, decks and balconies. With plenty of sleeping room, our quaint home has a private pool, an outside beach/poolside private shower, wireless internet access, three full bathrooms, laundry area, and comes with linens for your stay.
A large deck area overlooks the pool and ocean with rockers and adirondack chairs for you to watch the kids on the beach, the sunrise or sunset or even the dolphins at play. Both master bedrooms are accessed by the oceanfront deck and the queen and bunk rooms each have private oceanfront balconies on the sides of the home. A well-equipped, brightly-lit kitchen with large table and great-room area is centrally located and the separate laundry suite is accessible by the outdoor shower and under-home protected parking area.
Bring Fido! Emerald Isle is a pet-friendly beach and Sea Glass will allow up to 2 dogs for an additional charge of $250/dog for the week.
Weekly rental rates range depending on rental season. The base rate listed below is for a week in peak season.

We really enjoyed the house. Location was very convenient to everything and excellent beach access. The only issue was that it wasn’t very clean but the owner was very responsive and made their cleaning group aware.

Amazing location and the pool was a perfect treat. Being dog friendly was a huge plus. It had everything you want for a beach vacation.

We enjoyed our stay except for 3 issues: the house had not been cleaned when we arrived for checkin (& we weren't early) and we weren't informed in advance; 2 beds did not have sheets on them which we didn't realize until the evening; the pool was very small with a dark bottom so it generally was too hot to use (of course we paid a premium because of the pool).

The location of the property was really great. You are steps away from the beach and the fact that there was a pool was a major plus for our kids. Upon arrival though, we were shocked to find 2 large plastic bags filled with smaller plastic bags (is no one plastic conscious on the East Coast?) full of sheets and towels. I could not believe that after paying almost $6k on this rental for a week that the beds were not made and the towels not stacked. Not only that, but it did not even come with a solitary roll of toilet paper, paper towels or even a trash bag! I have paid far less for a VRBO and NEVER have I ever encountered this. This clearly was not a COVID issue, as the comforters and pillows were still left behind on the beds. The place was pretty clean, sans a few big bugs, but it's the beach, so it wasn't totally unsurprising.
The property manager on the other hand was fantastic. We had a problem with the air conditioner the first night and he responded to my texts immediately and had a maintenance worker out the very next day.
We still had a great time, despite the accommodations. So if you rent this place, make sure you bring EVERYTHING, and I do mean everything you may need, down to sponges for cleaning.
