About this house rental
Come get cozy in our private home. The home is an extension to the home we live in so we are close for convenience if necessary but have a separate entrance and parking for our guests and there is no sound travel.. Home is on 6 acres to enjoy the field if you want to walk around or enjoy outside with your morning coffee. We are close to Dodge Ridge Ski resort, Pinecrest Lake for hiking and calm lake activities, and world renowned Yosemite National Park. If you want to venture out to the Historic town of Murphy's for magnificent wine tastings with multiple vineyards and eateries as well. Stay for a night or stay for awhile. Welcome to our home and get comfortable! This is a smoke free home. Even though we do not allow events if you are a girls or guys weekend or coming to the area as a bachelor or Bachelorette party you are welcome to stay here to be close to your planned activities!
We are at 3200 elevation and do get snow fall. Please be sure to have an adequate vehicle in the event that their is snow. We are not responsible for the plowing of the roads leading to the home. We have a generator to run the home but Microwave and over will kick off generator. Stove top will still work and so will TV and internet. The generator is noisy so I cannot guarantee silence without turning off power source which is against hosting rules and guidelines. During the summer and fall months PG&E turns off power to help prevent fires. The generator situation will apply to these events as well. Turn on and off time between generator and PG&E power is about 3 minutes. Guests vehicles are not permitted past the guest parking sign unless prior arrangements are made for bigger vehicles or pulling of a trailer or boat which we can accommodate.

My partner and I had a lovely stay for a weekend of cross-country skiing near Dodge Ridge. Rikki's place gave us the peaceful weekend we needed-- beautiful views in a convenient location. Rikki was a fantastic host who responded to all of our needs quickly, kindly, and promptly!

Rikki's place is fantastically warm and cozy. It's a perfect location, just enough off the beaten path to be close to everything you need including peace and quiet. Rikki is also super attentive and right there for you whenever you need her or have a question. Highly recommend!

Location is serene. No trouble finding the property following the owner's instructions. I had trouble with internet connectivity (and it was outside of cell service for us), so was unable to make phone calls at times. Pay more attention to photos than description re beds and seating, etc. Note the kitchen is divided into 2 portions with fridge and stove in one area and sink and dishes in a separate part of the unit. Key works on the bathroom entrance, not the main door into the common space for the unit. There are cosmetic issues with walls and trim which do not affect the functionality of the space.
