Die Lage am Kanal mitten in der Altstadt ist absolut traumhaft. Wir waren schon das zweite mal da und kommen gerne wieder. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gemütlich. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett.

Logement spacieux et chic dans une maison de 150 ans, récemment rénovée et très bien équipée. 2 toilettes. Accès par une cour intérieure agrémentée de verdure et ... de 4 poules (très discrètes) offrant un oeuf frais chaque matin ! Environnement calme directement sur le bord du canal, rue peu fréquentée. Moulins à vent (!), cafés, restaurants, épiceries etc. à proximité. Stationnement payant facile dans les rues adjacentes, sinon dans un parking à moins de 10 minutes de marche. Emplacement idéal pour visiter Leyde, La Haye, Keurkenhof et les champs de fleurs.

This apartment was a lovely find in the heart of historic Schiedam—it was a winter visit to see my daughter who's studying at Erasmus university. A little cold to enjoy walking around the locality but I can imagine it's lovely during the summer months. Some excellent recommendations for a local bakery, cafes & nearby restaurants from our very helpful hosts who live next door. I was initially a little worried about how far Schiedam was from Rotterdam Centrum but it has an excellent (and reasonably priced) tram link into the city in addition to a train station. There was canal side public parking for a reasonable daily rate. The apartment was amazing - an old canal side beautifully renovated property. We also loved the chickens in the courtyard!
Absolutely nothing - we'd love to return.
