This unique fisherman's house in the historic center of Peniche is directly opposite the large church "Sâo Pedro" and is the oldest still preserved fisherman's house of its kind. It has been lovingly renovated with a sensitive view of the well-preserved historical details. Likewise, tastefully coordinated modern elements determine the ambience. Pellet stoves, fast WiFi and TV also increase comfort. Many small shops and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity.

Although the house is located in the middle of the village, the centuries-old stone walls of the house and the courtyard protect you from everyday noises. From the unmistakable Casa Pescador, in the heart of Peniche, you can reach various local shops and fish restaurants as well as the breathtaking sandy beaches around the peninsula within a few minutes' walk. The beaches around Peniche are world famous among surfers. The harbor and the historic fortress of Peniche, with their interesting museum and an incomparable view, are 5 minutes away on foot. Boat trips to the nature reserve island Berlengas are offered from the port. Lisbon is 100km away, Óbidos is 27km away, Nazare is 63km away.

We loved our stay at Casa Pescador- it was one of the best parts of our visit to Peniche. This small converted fishing cottage has loads of character, including 3 floors, 2 small outdoor courtyards and everything you need for a great stay. We grilled fresh fish outdoors both nights for dinner but it's a quick walk to restaurants and coffee shops and 5 minutes from the old fort. Please note that the bathroom is located across the courtyard-this worked fine for us but might be a bit far for those sleeping on the 3rd floor. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We look forward to staying here again!

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Erfahrung durchs Band. Zuvorkommende Kommunikation, gute Empfehlungen betr Restaurants etc. Das Haus ist auf drei Ebenen, wobei das oberste- unterm Dach über eine Leiter erreicht wir und lediglich Matratzen aud em Boden sind. Das hat uns aber nicht gestört da nicht benützt. Das WC/Dusche ist über den abgeschlossenen kleinen Vorhof zu erreichen, man muss also raus, dessen sollte man sich bewusst sein, es sind allerdings nur ein paar Meter, bei Regen aber gewöhnungsbedürftig. Alles tip top und ein einfach zu bedienender Pellets-Schwedenofen hat uns wohlige Wärme gespendet. Würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.
