About this house rental
The Oast: sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, kitchen, dining room, 1 bathroom and 1 en-suite. Parking and terrace.
Ground Floor
Kitchen with dining table seating 10 guests, large range stove, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, kettle, washing machine, dishwasher.
Sitting room with inglenook fireplace and seating, TV, door leading to terrace.
Roundel drawing room with sofas, TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi. Adjoining sitting room has a log burning stove (logs are provided).
Cloakroom with WC and wash basin.
Twin bedroom - sleeps 2 (if not required a discount applies), 2 single beds, chest of drawers, coat hangers, TV.
First Floor
Roundel Master bedroom (sleeps 2) king size French antique bed, TV, chest of drawers, large fitted wardrobe, dressing table.En suite bathroom with bath and shower.
Double bedroom (sleeps 2), double bed, TV, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Twin bedroom (sleeps 2) which can be configured to a double bed (on request), TV, wardrobe with drawers under.
Family bathroom with shower.

The property has an electric car charging point. Please note there is a charge of £10 a day for usage, payable directly to the owner if used during your stay.

Under occupancy discount for smaller groups applies (please note only 3 bedrooms will be available for this size group)

The mobile phone reception is very good in this rural location, as there is a mast about a mile away
The Oast is a detached property and there is an adjoining part of the house which is not rented out. This part of the house is sometimes occupied
The house is set back from the A28 which has a 30 MPH limit. There is a pub located to the side of the property
The property has central heating.

Alan does an amazing job of orienting you to the property and the history of the community. The property had alot of character and rustic charm and a nice big yard with a shepherd's hut and games to play. Pub next door was delicious and property nicely located to see gardens.

Our family gathered to celebrate a big birthday at The Oast for a few days. The whole process, from booking with Bloom Stays to arriving and meeting the very friendly and helpful owner was smooth and seamless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house has everything you need. Four bedrooms, accommodating 8 people were comfortable and equipped with everything you need. One en suite and two other bathrooms were adequate. In March we couldn't enjoy the outdoor facilities but have no doubt in good weather it would be a very pleasant place to eat and sit outside with a view over the fields and super sunsets,
Lots to do and see nearby and an excellent pub next door (literally!) and other eats places in Tenterden and Rye.

We had an amazing stay and Christmas we had within this lovely Oast house. The host Alan was so accommodating from arriving to departure - Alan you’re the best! There is an amazing pub right next door called the White Hart, we ate there and the food was first class - the landlord was very friendly too. There is a Morrisons and Tesco within ten minutes up the road and wonderful country walks. Christmas itself was like being in the movie ‘The Holiday’ - we will definitely return and to also meet up with Alan again.Many thanks Alan Mark, Sharon and family

Had a great stay, group of girls and dogs. Alan was a great host and we found the property to be well equipped. We did struggle with the super soft beds ending in back ache but apart from that everything was perfect.
