About this cabin rental
Elk Lake Lodge is a beautiful log cabin with stunning views of Henry's Lake and Sawtelle Mountain and is only 20 miles to West Yellowstone! Come relax and enjoy this family friendly retreat perfectly situated to soak in legendary Idaho sunsets every evening! With year round access, you can enjoy the legendary snowfall by snowmobile on over 900 miles of groomed trails or come during the popular summer months of gorgeous weather where the list of activities, historic sites and nature to see is endless.
Our clean and well maintained cabin is approximately 2950sq ft. with a walk out basement and main floor balcony that overlooks Henry's Lake. With 6 private bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, everyone in your group will have a comfy room to retire to, but will also have plenty of room to mingle together in the 2 large common areas - both with large screen TVs.
The layout is as follows:

Master Bedroom - King bed with attached bathroom with tub/shower
Bedroom 2 - Queen bed
Bedroom 3 - Queen bed
Bathroom - tub/shower
Spacious Kitchen with bar top seating
Dining Area with large table to gather
Family Room with sofa, loveseat and comfy reading chair
Mud room with plenty of hooks for jackets etc.
Downstairs: (Walk out basement)
Bedroom 4 - Queen bed
Bedroom 5 - Queen bed
Bedroom 6 - 4 single beds
Bathroom - Tub/shower
Laundry Room - Washer/Dryer, sink and 2nd refrigerator

This gorgeous area is a huge outdoor playground! Aside from the fishing, snowmobiling, boating, ATV-riding, hiking, horseback riding, rodeos, cross country skiing, bird watching, hunting and touring; Island Park's scenic and historical sites are some of the other popular activities. There are Outfitters for nearly every activity along with plenty of maps and guide books for the visitor who wants to experience Island Park on their own. Nearby Yellowstone Park is one of the main draws of the area where you could spend a wonderful day or even multiple days exploring! Henry's Lake is world famous for its fishing and it's not uncommon to catch 7 pound trout out of this lake. It also boasts its own fish hatchery quite near the cabin that help produce and replenish the fish habitat.

All my friends love the big cabin. The view is amazing. The cabin is very big for 12 of us. Several of us have recommended it to our friends for their future visit to Yellowstone.

This cabin was so great, and was perfect for a little get away! It was super easy to get too, and had plenty of parking. The cabin was clean and ready to go upon our arrival. It was really spacious, with three bedrooms upstairs and three downstairs, we never felt on top of each other. The beds were all comfortable, the bedding was new and updated. All the bathrooms had plenty of bath towels, and with a full washer and dryer, we never were out of clean linens. The kitchen was fully stocked, it had everything we needed to prepare a meal, there was even a BBQ for our use too. The cabin décor was charming and gave it a fun vibe. We loved all the photos of the wildlife from the area. The downstairs family room was fun, it had a pool table, a nice new sofa and a huge TV, which our kids loved! It was nice for them to hangout down there and give us adults some quiet time upstairs. The WIFI was great, we didn't have any issues with it. Our kids were even able to log on and do some remote learning from school while we were there! West Yellowstone was only 20 minutes away, it came in handy to go out to eat and also pick up a few groceries. Our favorite thing about this cabin was THE VIEW! We loved having our morning coffee in the living room watching the sun come up over the hills. It has a great view of Henry's lake and also the Grand Tetons, it makes for stunning sunsets too! The cabin Manager was great, all her check-in instructions came in handy, and she was very quick to respond to some of the questions we had. The only downside was that we didn't stay longer.. we will definitely be booking this place again!
