In Verhältnis zu den aufgerufenen Mietpreisen ist die allgemeine Ausstattung, einschließlich der Dusche, schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Hier sollte mal an der ein oder anderen Stelle investiert werden.

Bamfield is absolutely beautiful. Mathew, our contact person, was amazing at communicating with us prior to arrival and then went out of his way to pick us up in his boat to get us over the water to the cottage location. The cottage we were in would have been lovely in warmer weather and quite amenable to several people having a great escape. We were there in February and it was a chilly February.

In the bathroom, there are two floorboards, right by the door which made it hard to open or close the door and we easily stubbed toes on the parts of the wood that were sticking out. Also - and this may be our fault, we couldn't open the sofa beds so my son slept on the couch - which was certainly wide enough, but I couldn't find the sheets and he was cold all night long. Once again - it WAS winter!

This resort has to be the best holiday any of us have ever stayed. Dave and Renee are wonderful and made us feel like we we’re at a paradise home away from home, we wish we’d booked it for longer! We would recommend if your thinking of visiting to do your research on the journey to get there, it is a logging road not made for a small car and not super well sign posted you have to stick to the power lines and go slow over the bridges! Once you are there and on that water ferry you are guaranteed to fall in love with the community. We took the opportunity to go paddle boarding and had Sea Lions come right up to us, eagles flying over head and baby crabs in the sea. Utterly astounding! On top of that the cabin was beautiful and we had a wonderful barbecue with our hosts and 10/10 would recommend Dave’s hot sauce!

Mosquitoes! Dave and Renee gave us lots of bug spray and the house is well protected with nets but if you have sweet blood they’ll find a way!

A family of 6 plus 1 dog. We loved Bamfield. The Island is a lovely place to visit. Rachel on site was very helpful. .

We loved Bamfield but be aware that it is really a fishing destination. The house was booked for 5, and we were 6, our mistake, but it is just far too small for anything more than 2 adults and two small children. We ended up leaving early. Also not sure of buildings codes on Bamfield but there is an electricity distribution centre for a number of buildings in the living room at the bottom of an electricity pole.
