Looking for an ocean front condo get-a-way to enjoy those painted beach sunrises and salty evening breezes? "A touch of Paradise" may be just the home away from home you are looking for! "A touch of Paradise" is a two bedroom cozy condo with front row sea sights, sounds, and experiences. The complex is equipped with its own communal large pool, BBQ area, huge backyard, and your own private beach access to make our guests time beach-combing and sun-seeking an Ocean BREEZE!
Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!
The home is in the heart of Carolina Beach and moderate walking distance to downtown and everything that it has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island.

"A touch of Paradise" beach condo suite 24A walks you up (or use the onsite elevator!) 3 stilted flights and opens up to a layout consisting of two comfortable bedrooms (one Queen in the master and two Twin's in the second bedroom) along with a Queen size auto-inflating living room pull out if requiring just a bit more guest space.
A galley kitchen rests just off the living room and dining area while the entirety of the condo overlooks a panoramic expanse of our Atlantic Ocean. The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!).
A few of the amenities provided by your Owners include courtesy large shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel left in the bathroom of each bath as well. Also, a roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT in the kitchen, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, coffee, tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen. Additional items are likely on sight as well!
The living room boasts a large sliding door where you can watch the pelicans roost and waves crash without moving an inch.A TV and WIFI connection will ensure you stay briefly connected with the outside world before heading back to hunt for the perfect shell. You'll find a Smart TV is each bedroom to enjoy your personal subscriptions and accounts just like home!
The unit's ONE QUEEN bed, ONE QUEEN pullout, and TWO TWIN bed's consist of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge (*the Queen pull out is an air mattress).
The outdoor shower is located outside in the pool area to help get that sand off of those toes!
Guest access
The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared).
The POOL: The SHARED onsite elevator, pool, and communal beach access are available for all guests to use. **OPEN!!!**
PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (2) TWO un-assigned off street parking spaces (the parking passes MUST be visible to avoid an accidental tow). There is a $50 replacement cost if not left at check-out.
I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)
Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The home itself is short ride or long walk from Downtown Carolina Beach.
Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!
There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!
After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

If requiring extra or non-included linens, please reach out to Griffin Cleaning Services who is a partner with SWRE and will assist in any way possible! Please make sure all linens are placed in the basket or hamper before your departure! Please let all BED LINENS on the beds remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! •The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

GOLF CARTS
•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.
•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.
•NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork!
•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.

The property was amazing! The view is incredible. The unit was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a quiet and family friendly stay. The location was great. I would definitely recommend staying and plan to book a stay for my family again.

Whe we arrived I was a little disappointed. The master bathroom shower was small and i had a difficult time getting my husbamd in and out of the shower. The doorway to the bathroom is also very small. My husband walks with a walker and it did not fit in the doorway. The shower floor was slippery, the bathroom floor was slippery and only one grab bar in the shower. I ended up going to walmart to purchase 3 more grab bars, a bath mat and a mat for the shower. I also purchased 2 more bath towels. They only give you 1 set for the week per person. Also when we arrived a dryer tech was there and finished looking at the dryer and told us it was not working. We were there all week and the dryer never got fixed. The beds in the 2nd room were not comfortable at all according to my sister and her husband. Our bed in the master room was okay. You kind of sink into it and the boxspring is a little loud. The a/c worked great. The kitchen was fully stocked. The view was great. It felt as if the building slants slightly towards to beach. Would i stay here again probably not. I think the condo next door the pelican would be more my style. Not sure if they offer mid week check in and that is why i chose this unit instead. The area is great and the beach is great. I recommended sunsetter for your beach canopy and chairs. They were great and had our beach chairs and canopy set up by 6:30am. Well worth the price.
