In the most perfect location next to the castle. Gardens, surrounding woodland were stunning. We did the parkrun on a Saturday morning straight from our front door a really memorable experience. Bagpipe band on Sunday evening played for a reception at the castle topped the whole reverence off. Castle tearoom is excellent, lovely friendly staff and great fruit scones

What a lovely stay, just outside the Village of Thornhill the grounds around the castle are lovely and brilliant for walking. The apartment was all you could wish for and was a good size and well equipped.

Location was brilliant in the grounds of the castle. Very cosy comfortable apartment, decorated to a high standard. Short drive to Thornhill for some small shops, 30 mins to nearest supermarket I think. Lots to do in the castle grounds and a park for children. Lovely cafe at the castle (was only open weekends so check opening times). We were visiting friends so also drove about and saw some of the surrounding areas but would stay here for longer than a long weekend in future to give chance to explore the castle grounds more. Information book provided by the hosts which was really useful.
