great location and central to what we like to do and places we visit

Beautiful, clean, comfortable cottage with lots of character.
Would have been nice to have sachets of milk and sugar to accompany the tea and coffee. Everything else was perfect.

Bed was not comfortable at all springs in bed and I thought I was sleeping on floor sofa was very uncomfortable and needs replacing. The oven was not clean and the pan was very old and dirty. The tv was in and out of reception. We had a dog and wasn't aware the grass area opposite the cottage was the neighbours grass and he came very nice man and said he had spoke about this several times something I should not have had to deal with.

The property was very clean and comfortable with everything that we needed supplied. Good enclosed back garden for our dog and handy parking for the car to the side of the property.
It would have been good to have some amenities slightly closer eg. Small shop or pub to walk to - Although the village 2 miles away provides these things - just slightly too far to walk with the dog along a fairly busy fast moving road.

Lovely cottage, perfectly appointed with kitchenette etc. Spotlessly clean and warm. In a descent location for walking visiting the local area.
Nothing was perfect

Great location and the parking was great, the cottage was clean warm and cosy with everything you'd need for your stay.
I realise the settee is a bed settee so accomodates extra people but having no headrest makes it uncomfortable.

Nice cosy cottage
There was no hot water so we had to leave after 2 days. We are awaiting a refund for the 2 days we weren't there

We liked the layout, the cleanliness and the safety precautions of the cottage. We enjoyed the garden and sitting area with the frequent visitation of a host of bird species including red kite. The cottage has car parking adjacent and the WiFi reception is good. The bed is spacious and comfortable and the facilities are excellent throughout. The cottage is close to several tourist spots including The Crawick Multiverse, and Drumlanrig Castle.

Nicely laid out accommodation and tastefully furnished and equipped.
A little noisy early in the morning with through-traffic.

Everything. The location, the cottage, was clean and very well equipped. The garden was wonderful, sitting in the sunshine listening to the birds. Peaceful stay.

Cost and quiet, garden is a sun trap, has all the cooking facilities you need. Bed is huge!
Not a thing. Spot on.

Lovely wee cottage, massive comfy bed and fantastic power shower! Plenty hot water. Garden was great for sitting out and dogs pottering around.

The cottage was easily accessible off the main road and had off road parking which was great. Great little cottage with all the amenities and cosy back garden where you can watch and listen to the birds visiting.

Everything had been thought of … perfect bolt hole. I just wish I had given myself more time to explore the area.

Everything we needed was provided. Good facilities, great shower, comfy big bed. Good info on walks & surrounding areas, dog friendly places to eat. Was all very helpful as 1st trip away with our pup. Communication beforehand & details for our arrival were great. Parking spot for cottage also v handy.
The couch was nice n big but not very comfortable, no neck support. The location was good to get around & for walks but with it being right on the main road was a bit noisy with traffic & wouldn't really be too nice to be sitting out in the sun with the big lorries whizzing by.

Immaculately clean, warm and welcoming after a quite wearisome journey. Super comfy bed
Everything was lovely-there was nothing not to like!

Charming little cottage, beautifully laid out and sparklingly clean. We both agreed that the bed was probably the most comfortable we’d ever slept in! We’ll definitely be back.
There was absolutely nothing more we could have asked for.

The host is super helpful, we were sent a copy of the information prior to our arrival, so we knew a little about the cottage before we arrived, such as where to park. We were then messaged on the day with the codes we needed yo access the property.
The location! This is a great place for exploring the local area. Handy for places like Dumfries, Lincluden Collegiate Church, Caerlaverock Castle, and Drumlanrig Castle. As well as a bit further afield.
The size of the cottage is rather deceptive. It feels a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside.
It has a washing machine! Although we didn't use it, I can imagine it would come in very handy for anyone staying longer than we did who experiences a few muddy walks around Scotland.
The enclosed garden, if the weather had been warmer this would have been a lovely place to sit and have a BBQ.
Pet friendly, although we didn't bring a pet, I loved the thoughtfulness of the items provided for any dog owners.
We also loved that the first set of logs for the fire were included.
Just a tiny little inconvenience, really, there was no dish cloth or kitchen roll. As there is a dishwasher, this wasn't an issue for washing up, but it did make keeping surfaces clean when cooking or wiping down the table difficult.

Boggle Dyke Cottage is situated in a lovely location. Upon entering the cottage it was exceptionally clean and tidy with a cosy welcoming atmosphere. The log burner was beautiful and made the evenings particularly lovely. Very comfortable large bed. Pretty enclosed garden. Everything we could possibly need was provided and the hosts communication was first class. We highly rate Boggle Dyke Cottage and hope to return again some time in the future. Thankyou for providing us with the perfect stay.

It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The little enclosed garden is a great place to sit in the sun and for our dog to play in. Massive comfy bed too!
Nothing to dislike

Beautiful little cottage, one of the nicest we have stayed in. Well equipped and very comfortable. The enclosed rear garden was a real bonus for our dog and we even managed to sit in the sunshine one evening. We only stayed for two nights on our way home from Skye but would happily have stayed longer.

A bit noisy, next to main road, but managable.

Great area for walking and sightseeing. Plenty of cafe’s with good food. Can recommend Jinty’ b’s in Thornhill and Kilnford Farm shop near Dumfries. Very pet friendly cottage.
Occasional early morning traffic noise can be heard.

Although on a main road (which we knew in advance) the bedroom was on the back so we were not disturbed. The bed is enormous and super comfy. The kitchen facilities are first class, we had everything we needed during our 4 night stay. The host left excellent detailed and clear instructions how to operate all the equipment in the cottage, plus other useful information. The cottage has central heating and a small log burner.
Our main concern was the condensation in the bathroom after a shower due to the lack of a extractor fan, if not possible to install a fan because of wall thickness try a cheap portable (99p) dehumidifier in there. Personally I would have liked a blind on the back door. Hope theses pointers may help your business. We enjoyed our stay.

Spoke to owner, txt when cottage ready with instructions.
Cottage 12’ from the edge of A76 main road! This NOT made clear on Booking.com, one review said she knew the area and the road but didn’t mind as bedroom to the rear. TV reception not very good, neighbour said there are problems because of the hills in the area. Oddly, perhaps 65% of the electric sockets are blocked off! Bizarre! Not possible to have bedside light on whilst radio plugged in! Cottage hot, am not easy attempting to sleep with windows open on ground floor, poor night ~ awake early, showered and left at 09.20hrs, not due to leave Boggle Cottage for 24hours.

Well equipped comfortable cottage
The cottage has a busy A road close by which we knew about when we booked. However, it quietened down in the evening and overnight so didn't disturb our sleep.

This delightful cottage is tiny but beautifully proportioned. It contained everything we could need. It was immaculately clean and tidy
If you are noise sensitive it is quite close to a busy road but this was only noticeable at rush hour times
