About this house rental

Summer by the sea is situated in the historic centre of Corfu right next to the palace and above Faliraki beach. It is a four story house of 140 sq.m (used to be an old mansion house of the 19th century) recently renovated with all the modern amenities to offer our quests a comfortable and enjoyable stay.Placed right in the heart of Corfu ,only few meters from the famous Faliraki beach (where the former King and Queen of Greece used to relax and enjoy the sea and the sun.) few steps from Liston, Corfu old fortress and nearby historical monuments as well as bars , restaurants , tourist shops in the biggest square in the Balkans .
Four bedrooms , two bathrooms and a WC , a fully equipped kitchen with a dinning area and view to a secret garden, a living room on the top floor with amazing sea view , Faliraki and Vidos island, a veranda outside the living room with a small kitchenette ,the house offers personalized A/C ,wI-fI and privet entrance .
This residence will offer you anything you will need for a relaxed and memorable holidays .

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at ‘Summer by the Sea’ (for sure recommend all to frequent Favelas No.17 cafe, along with walks, swims and exploring along the waterfront and bus rides to beaches) except the first day when we woke up to no running water! Partially due to the previous guests absconding with the information notebook (which included information that the city periodically and somewhat unpredictably shuts off water to this area for several hours at a time as it works on updating aging water system) and partly due to the fact that another family at a different location had a very similar last name to ours; we had a very desperate hour or so! These things can happen, along with cleaners forgetting some essentials as well, and as I have indicated in our 5 star rating, did not cause a lower rating. Air conditioning was a blessing as temperatures were above 95 Fahrenheit. Do be aware that although the property does not list a washer, there is space for one and it would be very convenient and eliminate need to go to nearby laundromat (and I think expected for the price). 5 star rating for a very special place for 6-8 people!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in old Corfu town. We had six people so had plenty of room for all of us, and the location was quiet, but just steps away from the vibrant old town. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because of 2 things. 1) you can’t access the back garden that is featured in the pictures and 2) there was only one tiny French press in this large home. For 6 people and most drinking coffee that did not work for us. I went and bought a large French press at Starbucks in the town so that we could make our breakfasts and coffee at the home. Anyway for future travelers that problem is solved since I left it there for future use. Other than that, we were very pleased with the home and loved Corfu!
