Great apartment, okay value for money. Paying extra for towels is ridiculous

Well equiped apartment in a good location.

This place is great, but it comes with a ridiculous hook: bedding is included, but it doesn't include towels by default. You can rent them for 6 euros per person. It just feels like a ploy to make you pay extra after agreeing on the price of the apartment.

The perfect getaway with friends

Very nice apartment for 4 adults and equipped with everything we needed. Quiet road and walking distance from hikes and good restaurants. We loved the town and the general area. Lots of parking and walking distance from a Spar. Small balcony which would be nice in summer, but we did not use it as the weather was already too cool in the evening.

The shower water was very hot. Identical to ours at home, but we could not adjust it to cooler water. My husband who enjoys hot showers also found it too hot.

The apartment is simple but equipped with all appliances and furniture to make it super comfortable. The view is great. The living room has a beautiful view of the rocky slope and a beautiful canal. The bedroom overlooks the castle which stands on a hill in the middle of the village. The apartment is central to all outdoor activities and local shops and resteraunts. When I asked questions at the online reception, I immediately received an answer. Very helpful!

The garbage bags must be taken to a depot one street away.

The apartment, in a lovely Ardenne village, was a great home away from home for a week.

Nice location with views of the Ourthe River. Easy to follow instructions on how to use the pellet stove. Netflix provided on the TV. An excellent supply of hangers which was very helpful for a 1 week stay.

The pillows for sleeping had very rough or textured covers. Would help to have a cotton pillowcase under these outside decorative covers. The kitchen could use a good paring knife or two.

Some not so important remarks but would be nice to have. The heating by pellets, the unit makes at startup 20-40 min a lot of noise, toilet not separate of bathroom, only room for 3 persons in the seating area, no parking.

everything was amazing. from the location to the very house itself.. it’s very cozy, you have everything you’d need, good work, and a free parking nearby..

Beautiful

Very beautiful apartment and great location in the center of town. The apartment is bright, with views to the river and mountains, the kitchen is very well equipped and the beds very comfortable, great shower as well. And La Roche and it's surrounding nature is a gem not to be missed.

The bathroom tended to get an unpleasant smell from time to time and the kitchen tap needs to be revised because it leaks sometimes.

The accommodation was just as described, with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean, simplistic but stylish interior. The very friendly hosts make it very easy with gentle reminders for the day of arrival and departure and are available for questions anytime. The property is close to everything (hikes, shops, restaurants) in La-Roche-en-Ardenne.

Gezellig appartement, maar veel regels en praktische minpunten

Het appartement is gezellig en sfeervol ingericht en ligt op een fijne plek in La-Roche-en-Ardenne. Bij aankomst stonden de verwarming en de pelletkachel al aan, wat prettig was na de reis. Ook de kerstboom gaf het geheel een warme, leuke sfeer. De keuken was in basis goed uitgerust, waardoor je er in principe prima kon koken.

Wat ons het meest tegenviel, waren de zeer strenge regels, die we pas na het reserveren volledig te zien kregen. Met een prijs van €250 per nacht, geen mogelijkheid tot annuleren, een borg van €300 en een lange lijst met mogelijke boetes voelde het verblijf soms benauwend. Afval moest op een centrale locatie in het dorp zelf worden weggebracht, wat bij vertrek door de sneeuw al snel een kwartier heen en weer lopen kostte. Niet doen betekende €30 inhouding op de borg. Ook moest de keuken spic en span worden achtergelaten, anders €50 boete, waardoor we de oven voor de zekerheid niet hebben gebruikt. Daarnaast moesten we zelf de lakens van de bedden halen en op één plek verzamelen, waren handdoeken alleen beschikbaar tegen bijbetaling en betekende te laat uitchecken extra kosten. Alles bij elkaar gaf dat continu het gevoel dat je moest opletten om je borg niet kwijt te raken. Met zulke voorwaarden verwacht je dat alles verder perfect geregeld is, maar dat was helaas niet het geval. De woonkamer en keuken konden uitsluitend worden verwarmd met een pelletkachel. Hoewel dat gezellig klinkt, was het in de praktijk veel gedoe. Er lag alleen een instructie voor het aanzetten, niet voor bijvullen en schoonmaken. De kachel viel telkens na ongeveer vier uur uit, waarna de ruimte snel afkoelde terwijl het buiten vroor. Pas na volledig afkoelen kon de kachel met een speciale stofzuiger worden schoongemaakt en opnieuw worden opgestart. Dat is niet iets waar je tijdens oud en nieuw op zit te wachten. Bovendien maakte de kachel behoorlijk wat geluid. Ook de keukenuitrusting was niet compleet (meer?). Er was slechts één kommetje en geen kleine bordjes, maar plankjes. Voor een verblijf van twee nachten met drie personen vonden we vier koffiecupjes erg karig. Tot slot was de tv vrij klein in verhouding tot de afstand tot de bank.
