About this apartment rental

This apartment is a great launching pad for you adventures in Canyon! Located at The Flats apartment complex, newly remodeled Apt 16 is a corner unit that is ideal for 4. With 2 Queen Bedrooms, 1 shower bath & kitchen, it’s a perfect fit for just traveling through or long stays.

Located just 3 blocks(.3 miles) to WTAMU campus & Panhandle Plains Musuem, 1 mile to downtown Canyon & 12 miles to Palo Duro Canyon, this a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring and adventure.

Check in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock which you’ll be provided the code prior to arrival, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check out time is 11am.

No one should start their day off without caffeine- so you’ll find coffee & creamer to get you powered up, along with some breakfast snacks.

A Smart WiFi TV is provided that you can access your personal Netflix, Prime, Hulu(etc) accounts.

The bathroom has clean towels, basic toiletries- shampoo, conditioner & body wash. In the bedroom closet, you will find iron & ironing board.

We are just a txt or phone call away & can be there in about 10 minutes for anything that might need attention.

There are other units on the property so you may see & hear other guests or tenants coming & going throughout the day.

The parent was just perfect for our needs. We cooked all of our meals there and it was a great resting place after hiking all day at the canyon. Great communication with the host!

The location looked worse than it was. Neighbors were very loud slamming door at all hours. The home looked like it isn't rented out to often. Was dusty and had an odor of sitting vacant. Table and sofa are different than in picture.

I wish this place was mine... Sincerely, it is perfect. Not overly fancy, but very well decorated, stocked with everything you need from towels to coffee, napkins and trash bags, cleaning supplies a TV ready to connect your apps... Very cold AC! So comfy! We booked this place for the closeness to our families house, it was perfect for our stay. We didnt have issues with the ac like other reviews stated. The door to the bathroom is funky, but it does the job. Id book again when we are in the area again.

Four adults - stayed 3 days/2 nights at The Flats - Apt 16. Great location in town. We visited Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum and nearby Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Apt 16 was clean, the neighborhood was quiet during our stay and the price was very reasonable. Nice bedrooms, living room and kitchen area. The only upgrade we would suggest is the bathroom door from the kitchen area - the door was on a roller track with a hook to secure the door. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

The apartment was clean and very nicely decorated. It had all of the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay. We had some trouble with the mini splits. I’m pretty sure it was user error because there were times that we used it with no problem. Turning it off for a little while seemed to do the trick. The neighborhood was quiet, safe. and close to everything. Loved having access to the hot tub. It was clean and we were the only ones using it, which was nice. Would absolutely stay here again!

Location: Good central location of canyon with a short drive to Palo Duro Canyon and Amarillo. The area looked a little sketchy at first since it appears that it was an old affordable housing building, but most people living around the building are college kids. Exterior: The building was painted nicely and the landscaping was well kept. If you are looking to stay at a place with scenery where you wills spend most of your time, then this isn't it. This more of place to stay that is central to all other activities. Interior: The room was nice and clean. Very well decorated. Beds were very comfortable. It was a nice place to relax indoors after a long day of trail riding and hiking. My only issue was the HVAC system and fan controls. The controls did not work half the time. We even looked at the provided owners manual to verify we were not doing anything wrong and they still would not work right. The other thing was the HVAC filters in the units. My wife was sneezing the first night and we thought it was just allergies from the area since she has a lit of allergies. Then I checked the filter on the HVAC unit in the first bedroom and it looked like it hasn't been changed or cleaned in years. I cleaned the one in the first bedroom, but did not have time to clean the other two. The only other issue was that it is very dark in the shower, but it is not that big of a deal. Overall, it was a nice place to stay if you are wanting a central location.

My sister and I loved our stay in the flats! It was so clean and stocked with everything we needed…extra towels, waters, and even snacks. The owners responded to us so fast and were really friendly. We also had our own private parking space which was nice. Neighborhood was a little run down but it was super close to everything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend.

Stayed at this property for my wife’s 66 birthday trip to see the Texas Musical in Palo Duro Canyon. My wife has OCD and always nervous staying in new places, however she was very pleased and comfortable with this property as it was very clean, had a full kitchen, nice furniture and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay at this property again if we make another visit to Canyon.
