    First trip to Cincinnati for a long weekend. Wanted to be close to downtown for baseball and sightseeing and we did find it easy to get there within 15 minutes. House and neighborhood are older. You had to watch when walking up to the front sidewalk from driveway that a car wasn't going to run you down. We had 3 couples and one toddler and were a little disappointed the backyard was a bit neglected to have her play out there. We ate out so didn't use all the available pots, pans and dishes but some extra glasses and coffee mugs would be helpful. Tried the nearby Incline Social House that has a great city view and enjoyed the food so much we went back for brunch. Our host was very responsive and gave us some good recommendations.

    This is a cute 4 bedroom with comfortable beds and a nice rec room downstairs. The host is very friendly and responsive. Check-in was flawless, and communication in advance was excellent. This is an older home, and so it has some quirks. The biggest is that there is a step right in front of the refrigerator. It is hard to describe, I wish I had taken a picture. But when you are in front of the fridge, you have to be mindful not to step back too far as you close it and are stepping away (it is one step down, not stairs).Also, there is no outlet in the downstairs bathroom (so our daughter went to the upstairs bathroom to dry her hair). The upstairs bathroom doesn't have it's own heat vent, so it is a good idea to keep the door open when not using so it can stay warm (that wasn't a big problem). The listing of amenities says it has a dishwasher. We could not find a dishwasher. Not a big problem, we didn't make lots of meals there, but wanted to note. Also, we couldn't get the fridge water dispenser to work.Finally, the property says it sleeps 9 which is absolutely true. But if you want to have a meal, there really isn't seating for 9 people. There is an island in the kitchen that seats 3-4. And then a small table off to the side that seats 2. And they (rightly) don't want you eating in the living room. We worked around this by eating in "shifts" which was fine for breakfast before we headed out.It got the job done but would not rent again.

    Although I am hesitant to write a negative review, I also know that I choose places based on the reviews of others and I depend on them telling the truth. Unfortunately I would not recommend staying here (and would not return) due to several reasons: It was not clean. The dishes, utensils, etc in the kitchen were grimy and there is no dishwasher. There were not enough cups for eight people. The floors were dirty. My clean pair of white socks were very dirty after a short time and we always leave our shoes at the door when entering a home. Location is "sketchy" with derelict buildings beside and across from this property. The backyard is unkept with a few old unusable chairs. Potential black mold. Smelled like cat urine but the owner said that there were no pets allowed. The second morning our daughter woke up having a hard time breathing and had to leave the house. She had an allergy to black mold, which it turns out can smell like cat urine. I messaged the owner this information and said we had to leave due to this. The owner agreed to refund us the unused three nights and said they would have a remediation company come in to check for black mold. It seemed to be coming through the ventilation/ac system. Not sure if this has been done yet... Although the three unused nights were refunded, the taxes, VRBO fees and cleaning fees were not refunded so it ended up costing us a considerable amount of money to stay here for two nights. I would not return.

    In town to see a Bengals game and this house was perfect for our small group. Beds were comfy, place was clean and updates were great. Game room in the basement too. I would stay here on a future trip. Downtown a 10 minute drive.
