Most rentals are near the fun. This one is on top of it — literally. This beautifully decorated 2-bedroom condo sits directly above the brand-new Kitty Hawk Kites store on the Manteo Causeway, where jet ski rentals, kayaking, parasailing, dolphin-watching tours, tubing, and hobby fishing all book at the counter downstairs. Better still: your stay includes a buy-one-get-one-free one-hour single kayak or stand-up paddleboard rental, so the first adventure is half price before you've unpacked.
Water Views from Every Room
The sound surrounds you here — water and wildlife visible from every room, with the living room claiming a front-row seat to the Outer Banks' famous sunsets. Remote workers get the best "office" in the batch: a dedicated desk station facing the water, where the wildlife handles the screensaver duties. And the Causeway's legendary restaurant row is a walk away: Sam & Omie's, Basnight's Lone Cedar, Tale of the Whale, and Sugar Creek.
Two Kings, One Great Table
Both bedrooms offer king beds — the master at the entry, and a second king served by a hall-access bath off the living room — with a queen pull-out sofa flexing capacity to six. The dining table seats six to match, and a washer and dryer sit conveniently off the kitchen. Note for planners: the bedroom TVs carry cable, while the living room's smart TV runs streaming apps only — bring your logins. Ocean beach access is close by at Jennette's Pier, so the Atlantic is a short drive when the sound isn't enough.
Dogs are welcome ($150 per pet plus tax, maximum of 2).

There is no curtains on any windows and not even blinds in the general living space, which allows the building spot lights to illuminated the whole house at night. And can make you feel like a fish in a fish bowl in the living room in the evenings worth the interior lights still on. And the rooms don't get dark to help you sleep.

The initial impression was very poor. There was bird poop all over the stair case, deck and seating area. The response from the realtor was they have little control over the wild life. We purchased cleaning product and buckets and cleaned the area as to not track it into the house.( 2 people carrying water and scrubbing 2 hours) We were there all week and never had the problem repeat. So our impression was that it wasn’t clean for weeks prior to our arrival. Spider webs and bugs around the door on the deck also.
The home is spare stocked, take everything you need. No wine glasses, no cleaning products or paper products. One trash can liner provided and 2 rolls of toilet paper. View was delightful, and check in and out was flexible and fairly easy.
