Isambane Camp

Only 10 people at a time. The chef was amazing and food delicious. Sansesh was an amazing ranger and found all the animals along with information on plants, stars etc.

Nothing all amazing

Staying in Isambane Camp was a dream! Every member of staff was attentive, helpful, and proactive. The game drives were jam packed and it was wonderful to come back to a tidy room after, regardless of the time of day! The food was divine, which is a credit to the chef - we loved every course!

Not a negative, but it would be remiss not to say that you have to physically leave the bedroom to get to your (private) toilet

We absolutely fell in love with Isambane, both the lodge itself and the incredible team. During our trip, we also stayed at another safari lodge recommended by the Michelin Guide, and for us, Isambane surpassed it by far. The service was exceptional. We have honestly never felt so well taken care of anywhere we’ve stayed. Every detail was thoughtful and personal, and the team went above and beyond to make our honeymoon feel extra special. Those little touches meant so much to us. The food was another highlight — the chef is incredibly talented, and every meal was excellent. We were also so lucky to have an amazing guide for our game drives. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive to what we wanted to see and experience, and genuinely passionate about wildlife and the bush. You could tell that this wasn’t simply a job for him, and that made every game drive even more memorable. If you’re hesitating between several lodges in the area, choose Isambane. The warmth of the team, the level of service, the food, the game drives and the attention to detail made this one of the absolute highlights of our honeymoon. We would come back without hesitation.
