Extirtionately expensive for what is a pleasant hotel.

The property itself and the rooms were lovely. The food was very good.

The extortionate prices and the way the stuff added these onto our bill. €9 for water that was placed onto everything. A parking fee for every day we stayed although we didn’t have a car.

Fantastic stay in a great location with really nice food and wine!

It was my first stay there and I can highly recommend this Hotel including the excellent restaurant food. Staff is very friendly and makes sure you will have a great stay there!

There was really nothing I did not like. The only issue I had was finding the Hotel Parking spot at the first attempt but that is rather my fault Maybe another notifier pre-arrival could have avoided this. We were informed about Restaurant booking situation in advance.

Short Christmas Market visit.

A very comfortable short stay for the Christmas market, which was right outside the front door! Great location very characterful older hotel. With décor and nice ambiance to match. Reception staff were super friendly and efficient, with for example useful messages upfront to ensure a comfortable stay. Room was comfortable and very clean indeed. Nice breakfast room and good buffet spread as well a cooked options. Room was a good size and rate was good value compared to other options (we have stayed in) in town.

the staff makes this hotel exceptional! from beginning to end, every interaction with each hotel personnel- from the reception staff to the restaurant- was perfect. they were all helpful, friendly, courteous, & professional. the room was lovely, the food at the restaurant delicious, & one staff member even drove me to the train station! this hotel exemplifies great service!

there was nothing to complain about! i can't think of anything that needs improvement either!

Excellent rooms in the heart of the town

Very comfortable room with a small couch to relax. Location in the heart of the town, just perfect. Breakfast was good (not outstanding either), breakfast service was kind, though a bit inefficient at times. Smooth and friendly check-in and checkout

We had to pay for the courtyard parking. Would have been nice to get a heads-up about other parking options

I know this hotel from many many years ago when it was the Romantic hotel and loved it. We used it as a base many years ago for the Hockenheim GP where my company sponsored a leading team. It has changed become larger and more impersonal. The main restaurant is now a 300 euro speciality epicure restaurant. I used to have true German schlachtplatte mit Bratkartoffeln with friends in the same place. Now the small "normal" restaurant serves very expensive meals nowhere near what I looked for. Always a mistake going back in time.

The only traditional grand hotel in the area and worth a visit in its own right

It is always a pleasure to come back to the Deidesheimer Hof. The personalised service, attentive staff, excellent location and historical significance of the hotel make it a great place to stop over in the are. In addition the great St Urban restaurant offers great food and of course wine to its guests. The small touches like thick towels, soundproof windows and newspapers clearly differentiate it from other hotels in town. We greatly appreciated how we were welcomed back by the - as ever - efficient and friendly Herr Henn, without whom it just wouldn’t be the same.

The addition of decaf espresso would be appreciated and parking should be included for guests, who are anyhow unlikely to arrive by any other means of transport.

Sebastian was marvelous. Very helpful in getting us checked in and to our room. VERY PERSONAL touch and much appreciated. The young lady at the Reception Desk when we checked out was also very helpful and pleasant. Our room was especially beautiful and very comfortable. We also thought the Breakfast Room was lovely and we enjoyed our breakfast there. All staff at this hotel deserve commendations for their kind attention to ensuring Guest satisfaction.

A real German Gasthof. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with luxury rooms and perfect ambiance. Very good food. And extremely friendly and helpful receptionists.

The maître in the restaurant Saint Urban (a mrs Montag or something like that) was unwelcoming, bad humoured and unkind. She almost spoiled our dinner. Next time we walk away.

Parking on site not available due to wedding next day. Hotel have car park 200 meters away at cost of 8 euros. Breakfast 22 euros - poor selection. Hot food not available until 30 mins into service.

D-hof is a classic hotel with dependably good service!

Super location & good service. Easy to walk to all which we wanted. Map & highlights provided at the front desk upon request. A Valet happily carried our multiple bags up the varied steps to our room. #6 was a lovely room with beautiful fabrics/tassles. Pleasant experience overall.

Didn’t dine in restaurant but when we made inquiries Sat. evening, the waiter seemed snobbish. A bit loud in the morn from passing cars, when we wanted to sleep in. Bring ear plugs if you don’t like church bells on Sunday. Separate WC could have had soap at the sink & a mirror over it. One person could shower in the large bathroom while the other could prep too. Nice to have ledges in the WC. If mobility is an issue, double check the location.
