Not bad, but don’t think it’s worth the money.
The breakfast was delicious, and parking wasn’t a problem.
They never told us they were hosting a Christmas buffet the night we were arriving, got there and wanted to eat but couldn’t because we didn’t make a reservation. Maitre d’ was rude and unhelpful both times we tried to eat dinner at the hotel. Pillowcases and duvet covers were a thin and uncomfortable material. After they cleaned up the room, there was still a pillow lying on the floor.

Pleasant stop en route
The lakeside location, easy to explore Ratzeburg on foot. When I reported three issues of cleanliness, they were rectified by immediately.

Wonderful location, but...
The setting by the lake is awesome. Very relaxing and sumptuous atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent. We ate in the restaurant and were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food, with gluten free options.
Although this felt like a luxury hotel at a price to match, for some reason there were no facilities for making tea/coffee during the day; if you ordered it, you had to pay the restaurant tariff. The offer of gluten free bread at breakfast (for my wife who is coeliac) was very disappointing; we had much better/tastier provision at the other three hotels this trip. There was an issue with the WiFi which was intermittent at best - a newly installed system was causing problems.

Great location if you love beautiful Lakes and good food.
Great location, with Lake Ratzeburg on either side of the hotel. The hotel was a welcome oasis after riding over a 1,000 miles on our motorbikes. Comfortable, friendly and in a great location. The food was good, a nice bar for an evening drink and the VIEW over the lake from the dining area is simply stunning. Ratzeburg is the sweetest town, with great walks around the lakes, friendly people and some good bars and restaurants in the centre. For the non-German speaking amongst us, some English speaking TV would have been nice in the bedrooms. Apart from that, it's a good hotel in a beautiful location. ☺
