Sziget Hotel

Breakfast was very good. Dinner was not great- two pork entrees, one chicken entree, and one vegetarian entree to choose from- we don't eat pork. The room was fine, very comfortable. The service staff were all very professional and helpful. Shout-out to Dalma, the person we dealt most with at reception. She was wonderful! We booked here for a day of rest on a very wide-ranging trip through Hungary and Slovakia. We both felt we got the rest we wanted, and we want to stay here again should we be visiting the area again!

Great staff awesome place.

Although our stay was short, it was a wonderful experience. We were two adults traveling with our almost 5-year-old, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. While not all of the staff spoke fluent English, their effort and kindness made communication easy and we always felt supported. The food was excellent, and our child especially enjoyed the lake, playground, and trampoline, while all three of us loved spending time in the indoor pool. We would be delighted to return and will happily recommend this place to family and friends.

Can't say anything was not to our liking. Maybe restaurant for serving breakfast could have been a bit bigger.

Happy with the room – comfortable beds and good air conditioning. The hotel is generally clean and tidy.

We found the service generally poor. The staff don’t seem to speak or understand English very well. At a hotel, you expect that someone comes into the room to empty the trash, make the bed, etc., but that was not done for us. Instead, there was a knock on our door quite late in the day, and we were only offered clean towels. The breakfast was nothing special either. One day we came about half an hour before breakfast ended, but some of the food was already done and they didn’t bring out more. On that occasion, I constantly had to ask the staff member on duty for things, and he had to go and fetch them. On top of that, it felt like he was just waiting for us to leave. He certainly didn’t smile, and it seemed like he didn’t want to be there at all – he was mostly standing by the bar, looking at his phone.
