Hôtel & Spa Le Maury, Vannes, The Originals Boutique

Staff really kind, helpful and professional. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so they gave us a free drink whilst we waited. It was hot outside and the air conditioning was great and really quiet. It’s a modern hotel really near to the walled city. 5 mins walk, maybe less. Location is on busy road but the rooms are triple glazed so you can’t hear traffic. Bed and pillows super comfy and room well decorated. Had a really good sleep. We used a parking space under the hotel. It was about 12 euros to book space for 24 hours. The Boulangerie across the road is awesome. It has ‘Best pain au chocolate in Brittany award 2025’. Oh yes, and MASSIVE TV in the room. Football was on so my partner appreciated that.

In the photos the outside of the building isn’t so pretty. It’s not an old cutesy building, but totally worth not having that for the benefit of the awesome comfort.

Not an awful lot. The lobby and breakfast area are actually nice.

The rooms are tiny. Really small indeed. Probably made worse by the fact that in our group we were all on the top floor, where the sloped ceiling makes things worse. One side of the bed requires even shorter people to be careful to avoid banging their heads. Also, the lift only serves the 4th floor, the rest is stairs. Annoying if you have heavy luggage. Granted, there is mention of this in the booking process. But how come we all ended up on the 5th floor? I’m either unlucky with far too often getting those dud rooms on the top floor which are smaller. Or its that some hotels give their least desirable rooms to booking.com customers. I’m keeping an eye on this one. Btw, the hotel was available for less on the day we arrived. So it wasn’t a matter of getting what was left. Au contraire, we paid extra gor lesser rooms.
