Guest House Pohorska Kavarna

Beautiful small inn with a fabulous coffee and dessert shop on the bottom level. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely views of Pohorje mountain, and great updates to the rooms (we have stayed there previously several years ago). A short taxi or bus ride from the city center, but well worth it. Only wish we could have stayed long enough to sample all the gorgeous desserts!

Breakfast was really goood!!!! Staff was nice The room was clean and modern, comfortable. The bus station was close. And it has a parking lot.

The rooms are renovated and modern. The location is not bad, but you will depend on your car to get to the old town center and shopping malls.

It felt like the room wasn't even properly prepared? We didn't find the wifi password anywhere, the fridge was unplugged, the shower door was partly hanging and falling off their rails, the pillows are too thin and so uncomfortable. We know that we weren't staying at a 5-star hotel, but still, there should have been extra pillows in the room just in case one pillow is not enough for a good night sleep. The toilet wasn't clean, there were marks on the rim of it, which made the whole experience weird. We also had to leave a day sooner than planned due to a family emergency and were met with the most passive aggressive and guilt-tripping receptionst, ever. We understand that this was an unfortunate event for both parties, but since it happened on the 25th December and we were in major distress already, having a family member in a hospital in another country, we would have appreciated some sort of care and empathy from the receptionist, instead of being guilt-tripped how we should have notified the hotel sooner about leaving a day sooner than planned? That was utterly rude and based on everything, we didn't feel welcomed from the very start to the very end.
