The Navigator - Olympus Marina

Great location, clean rooms, comfy beds and spacious

Basic interior and facilities.

It was a great holiday at The Navigator. The location is ideal. It’s one street back from the Marina but quiet enough at nighttime. We travelled with a 9 month old and villamoura generally was very child friendly. Ramps for Buggys and friendly staff etc. This option of self catering with breakfast really suited us. We used the fridge to store food, the hob for basic bits like pasta annd rice and the microwave to sterilise bottles. The curtains in the bedroom were close enough to black out and there was also a bath- which was really handy. The apartment itself was basic but functioned fine. Air con and WiFi both worked really well. The pool wasn’t too crowded in May. It was large, cool and very clean. Plenty of sunbeds about. There was a small kids pool but it seemed to be getting work done to it so was closed off for a few days. The breakfast was good. It was a serve yourself buffet of yogurts, porridge, breads, hot items (of streaky bacon, scrambled and fried eggs, mini sausages, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes) and some basic fruits/ pastries and cold items. It was standard enough, nothing amazing but did the job and was nice not to have to eat all meals out. It was good value and exactly what we thought it would be. Lots of golfers staying at the hotel.

Could have provided some small basics like washing up liquid and a dishcloth. Decor is basic, a coloured paint in the living atea and some soft furnishings would make a world of difference. The owner had started doing some DIY towards the end of the trip so there was a anoying sound of drilling at random times (Saturday morning/ Sunday evening).

I really liked the great location near the marina, beach, and local restaurants, which made everything easy to get to. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had lovely views from the balcony, making the stay very relaxing.

Although the beds are made each day, towels were not refreshed during the 4 day stay and the apartment/bins were not emptied

The location was brilliant and the apartment was very spacious

The floors were filthy, had a 1 year old with constant black feet from walking on it. Also there’s a late night bar right underneath the apartments and we were on the second floor above it and it woke up and the baby up every night
