Very relaxing.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a weekend break. It was very peaceful and quiet and our hosts were friendly and helpful. We had dinner booked for the 3 nights, the food was excellent. I can recommend staying here if you want total peace and quiet.

Rooms are a little dated but that is the character of the property.

Great Stay

The Food is exceptional! The hosts very pleasant. The hotel is in the middle of ‘no where’ which is great, so quiet, old looking farmhouse hotel, and interior. If you want it all like in a modern hotel then go there, this is a lovely hotel with loads of charm, and the basic things you need. The food is amazing, 3 courses, the best food I’ve had in a long time, the hosts make a menu up of a couple of options and you pick. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

thoroughly enjoyable stay.

La Verte Campagne is situated deep in the country side but with easy reach of most of Normandy. The hotel is in a picturesque old style building with thick stone walls, narrow steep stairs and a multitude of floor levels changes. The bedrooms are large and our bed large and comfortable though in room tea making facilities would have been welcome. Breakfast was perfectly adequate with fresh baguettes and croissants. At 1930, leap into a different world. The evening meal in an elegant dining room with log fire was stunning. The beautifully presented Nouvelle Cuisine with expertly blended flavours was exquisite, worthy of 5star ++

TEA/COFFEE making facility in our room would be a welcome addition. Room was chilly until an elecctric fire was provided by our host who welcomed the chance to make our visit more comfortable.

If you want some quiet relaxing time in the Normandy country-side, situated remote from everything, run by a lovely English couple, with an excellent kitchen serving great dishes, this is the place to be !

Even when thinking hard, nothing springs to mind when you know you booked accommodation "with a history" = with the noises that come with the property.....

A charming place, friendly host and very good food

The place is charming. The English host is very friendly. There is a free parking in site. It is a little remote and not easy to find' but it is a quiet and very nice old house. There is insight a lovely restaurant' the owner's wife cook a wonderful French dinner, worth a visit even if staying in another place nearby. The only downside is that one have to climb with the suitcases to the first floor in a narrow old stairs.

Gormet dinner and a comfortable room.

This is a family run small hotel where the comfort and safety of the guests is paramount. The room furnishings are 'a l'epoch' dated but charming, the bed large and very comfortable. The evening meal was outstandingly good and as purchased as 'half board' was very reasonable priced. The continental breakfast well up to standard with the bread and croissants warmed before serving. We will definitely return

Petite salle très intime et conviviale. Qualité du petit déjeuner et service quasiment instantané dès la présence du client. Quant au diner c'était super sur tous les plans. Qualité du service et félicitations à la cheffe qui nous a régalés.

Pas de critiques à formuler. Tout était bien au-delà de ce que nous pensions. Serviabilité et amabilité de la part du propriétaire qui rend ses clients très à l'aise dans son établissement.

Accueil très sympathique dans une maison d'hôte reposante, avec un excellent diner sur place.

Le diner, préparé uniquement pour les hôtes, était particulièrement savoureux. On aimerait y retourner rien que pour en profiter de nouveau! L'environnement de la maison vaut le détour aussi. Het is een mooie cottage maar alles oogt wat slordig. De kamer was ok maar niet super netjes, de badkamer is basic. Alles kan een opfrisbeurt gebruiken… Het internet werkte niet. Jammer want het zou een pareltje kunnen zijn!

Ein wunderschönes altes Hotel im Cottagestil, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, außerordentlich sympathische Besitzer. Unbedingt das Restaurant am Abend ausprobieren! Es lohnt sich! Zur Lage: Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig auf dem Land. Ein Garten mit Sonnenstühlen ist vorhanden. Das Dorf Trelly ist in der Nähe, die nächste größere Stadt Coutance ist in etwa 20 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Der Weg bis zur Küste (Hauteville-sur Mer) dauert ca. 15 min.
