Great refuge from the Summer crowds

This is an ideal refuge from busy Summer destinations, particularly during confinement times. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and we met almost no-one other than the staff. The village is as remote as remote villages can be in a very dense country. Suggestion: do it as we did and bike there from Vlissingen. The breakfast was simple but complete and very good, and the staff was really nice - even when I called to say we might not get on time for check-in, they immediately gave us a back-up plan involving a lockbox with the room keys.

Nice and quite place. Everything you need is in the room and more - set for drinking a tea, ventilator, iron, microwave. Very good breakfast!

La gentillesse de notre ôte ! Malgré la période de fin d’année, moins d’activité et de et fermettes l’hôtel le lendemain , nous avons été choyés et reçus comme des rois!

Prachtige kamer, super groot en modern met heerlijke bedden. Wel erg gehorig.

De kamer was net gerenoveerd. Enorm groot! Echt heel netjes en vooral meer dan compleet. De bedden waren heerlijk.

Het is heel gehorig. Vanaf de straat hoor je veel, wat we wel hadden verwacht gezien de ligging maar vooral ook binnen heel erg gehorig!

De kamer was helemaal nieuw en zag er keurig en schoon uit. Vriendelijke ontvangst bij de receptie en goede uitleg over de kamer en procedures.

Schöne Zimmer, steile Treppen, sehr gutes Frühstück

Die Zimmer und das Frühstück waren ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten die Zimmer gebucht, weil wir nach Assenede an die Harley Days gingen. Die Idee war, eine gute Unterkunft, nahe bei Assenede, sodass wir mit dem Taxi an die Party fahren könnten und so auch ein paar Bier trinken könnten. Leider war es weder Uber noch einem privaten Taxi Unternehmen möglich (oder die wollten nicht) uns die 8 km von Saas van Gent nach Assenede zu transportieren. Wenn man also in Saas van Gent übernachtet, ist man zu 100% auf ein eigenes Fahrzeug angewiesen; mit dem ÖV hätte es 3 Stunden gedauert um nach Assenede zu gelangen. Wir sind dann mit den Motorrädern gefahren.

Grottenschlechter Anschluss an ÖV und keine Taxis oder Uber.
