Stunning views total privacy comfortable & amazing hosts

To be aware - Walk into town was longer than advertised realistically 3km. Walk back is all uphill so trainers essential . Fine for us but not suitable for everyone. Driveway to the house is over 200m of dirt track - not suitable for low slung cars.

Very pleasant stay in Sainte Croix!

We were welcomed by the owners upon arrival. They allowed us in 1 hour earlier as we were ahead of schedule. The property is a third generation asset in very good condition. The owner is rightfully proud of it. It is situated in the middle of vineyards, with the hills and Mount Ventoux visible from the patio and swimming pool. Some people put in the reviews that it was not easy to find, but we were given exact instructions on the day, and had no trouble finding it. The entire property is air-conditioned which was much appreciated with very high temps during our stay. The rooms are large with sufficient storage room. The bathroom has a double sink with a shower that works well. The kitchen has all amenities and contains basic items such as salt, pepper, herbs, coffee etc. The dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier are in perfect working order. The living room has a comfortable settee and a very big television screen with Netflix, Prime, etc. The wifi works perfectly fine in the living room, kitchen and dining room, but won't reach as far as the patio, or the upstairs. The outside space is brilliant, with petanque, a BBQ, pizza oven, outdoor kitchen and not to be forgotten, a beautiful pool. The owner walked us through the property to make sure all questions were answered and to show us how to use the cleaning robot in the pool, as well as how to replace the chlorine tablets. Make sure to have a look outside at night time, the lights from the village are enchanting. In the heart of the Provence, surrounded by hills, vineyards and the sound of crickets, we had a truly lovely stay at Sainte Croix.

There are not many negatives about this property. There is one item that the owners cannot do much about and that is the sheer number of wasps around the pool. The wasps are not aggressive, they come to the pool to drink, but obviously you want to avoid stepping on them. I dislike wasps much but started getting used to them towards the end of the stay. If you don't bother them, they won't bother you.

Een droomhuis met een mooie lange geschiedenis om in alle comfort tot rust te komen

Ongelooflijk mooie locatie, een prachtige plek om helemaal tot rust te komen. De verhuurder is zeer vriendelijk, geen enkele vraag is hen teveel. Met fierheid heeft hij ons de geschiedenis van het domein verteld waardoor je nog meer respect krijgt voor deze woning. Het huis is werkelijk een droomhuis, voorzien van alle comfort en tot in de kleinste details. De bedden zijn zeer comfortabel en de matrassen zijn hygiënisch en proper. Het zwembad is prachtig onderhouden en oogt als nieuw. De buitenkeuken is een geweldige extra en zelfs voorzien van een plancha en een ingebouwde pizza oven. Zulk groot domein 100% proper houden is echt niet makkelijk, daarom een dikke 10 op 10 voor netheid. Dit was de mooiste vakantie die we ooit hebben gehad en daarom gaan we zeker elk jaar terugkomen. We hebben onze vaste stek gevonden.

mooi uitzicht over de wijnvelden, ruim goed ingerichte woning. zeer verzorgd zwembad

pannen en kookketels waren niet echt aangepast aan het fornuis, een korte gebruiksaanwijzing voor fornuis en oven was gemakkelijk geweest. Een naambord van de gite in de omgeving was handig geweest. GPS neemt het adres en coördinaten niet. Hebben de eerste dag lang moeten zoeken.
