Cleanliness of the house and room to move around, comfy bed

Easy to find with excellent facilities especially for a family.

This is a relatively new property with a good layout and some attractive features, but it falls well short of what should be expected for comfortable, well-managed accommodation. Many of the issues noted below have also been raised by other guests repeatedly over the past three years, which suggests a lack of interest in addressing known problems. The property itself is modern and nicely laid out. The large patio doors opening onto a very generous deck area are a real highlight and make good use of the space. HDMI cables already connected to the television were also appreciated — a small but genuinely useful detail that many rentals overlook.

Once you look beyond the initial impression, a long list of shortcomings becomes apparent. There is no clothes dryer, which is surprising and impractical in an area with extremely high rainfall. The overall facilities are very basic, with little in the way of thoughtful extras. Towels are worn and should be replaced, and some of the furniture is visibly stained. The property is advertised as sleeping six, yet there are only four seats in the lounge. None of the bedrooms have wardrobes, cupboards, or drawers, leaving nowhere to store clothing properly. Cleaning materials are minimal, and there is no insect spray — unusual given the high insect presence in the area. The broadband is extremely poor, averaging around 2.2 Mbps download, making it the slowest internet we have experienced in years, This would be so easy to resolve by using Starlink at a relatively modest cost. Communication with the owners has been particularly disappointing: despite contacting them within 30 minutes of arrival, we received no response during our four-day stay. Summary: This property has potential, but it feels like one that exists primarily for profit rather than guest comfort. Given that many of these issues have been repeatedly reported by previous guests over several years, the lack of improvement is especially frustrating. With proper investment, maintenance, and attention to guest experience, it could be much better — but as it stands, it delivers only an average stay.
