About this house rental

It will be hard to find a more beautiful southern Ohio landscape and some of the best sunsets you will ever see. If you want to get away, then you'll be right at home with 50 acre's all to yourself.
This is a real cabin.....not a house in the woods. Our rustic cabin was built on 1963 and every single log and piece of wood was taken off of the property. This rustic sit's tucked back 1100 feet off of a lazy country road.

Your view from the front porch whether in the morning or evening is nothing short of spectacular, as hundreds of acre's sprawl out in front of you with a 5 mile view.

This is truly a one of a kind place as well as location......perfect for so many types of gatherings:
-romantic evening/weekend
-family weekend trip: many memories to be made around the fire-pit, on the front porch, and walk the 50 acre's
-a guy's or girls getaway
-small game hunting with a family member: our 25 acre's of wood are packed with squirrels

In terms of location it's hard to feel so far-out but be so close......
>Our cabin is the closest place to stay from the sought after Longaberger Golf Course, now known as "The Virtues". So whether you are looking to tee it up or a great place to have dinner you will be only 3 miles away.
>Downtown Newark and nearby Granville are only 15 minutes and 25 minutes respectively to the west down US 16...... further to the west you can be on the east side of Columbus in the New Albany area in a short 35 minute drive from our cabin.
>Dillon State Park and lake is roughly 9 miles to the south right down 146 and only a 10 minute drive. Zanesville is just a bit further down 146 and 20 minutes to the south.
>Coshocton Ohio and historic Roscoe Village is only 25 minutes to the east directly down US St Route 16.

The cabin is very nice and exactly as described and the property is beautiful! The price per night is very fair for how big and nice the property and cabin are. Much better than staying in a hotel. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay!

Great spot! My only complaint is the non-potable water. It smelled like sulfur so we brought our own 6 gallon buckets to heat water on the stove and used a camping shower pump in an attempt to remain scent-free for archery hunting. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

The front porch and view are amazing - birders paradise! It sits away from the road up a hill. It is all wood on the inside, not a lot of sound privacy with multiple people staying there. Very quiet location-very little traffic and night sounds. It is rural so expect bugs (ants & stink bugs at the time we were there), signs of rodent activity (traps were in various areas) and stains from well water. Main bed was comfortable but noisy when you moved due to the mattress cover. Also no curtains on the windows. Water from the shower didn't have a lot of pressure but did provide a hot shower. There is a cow farm on one side, another neighbor on the other the other, both visual from the property but far away. Open field and woods across the street. Woods with a path to walk behind and at the side of the house. General pots/pans/utensils/cups and glasses available. Bring any toiletries you may need. Fire pit was large and stocked with wood. Autumn was very responsive with communication. We did have an issue with the couch bed - a mouse had taken up storage and was unusable (to our standards). She was very responsive and asked if we wanted to leave with a refund. We did not, found alternative sleeping arrangement. All in all, as long as you know what to expect, it is a nice place to unplug and get away.
