Overall, disappointing stay and not worth the money.
It started off well with a nice room, great sea view, comfy bed and helpful staff when we came on and off the boat.
Overall, disappointing stay and not worth the money. It started off well with a nice room, great sea view, comfy bed and helpful staff when we came on and off the boat. However, our bathroom was unsanitary with black mold present. Although compensation was given, it wasn’t fair for the situation. Additionally, their boat service to Abraao was very irregular with only a handful of transfers a day and the last transfer back at 9pm- this is pretty early. To top this off it costs a small fortune: 100 Reals per person one way for a 10 min journey. Considering the hotel is out of the way and the only way to access it is via a transfer (or a 2 hour walk), transfers should be included in the price of your stay or at the very least, heavily subsidised. If we’d have known all this before, we’d have chosen to stay on Abraao!

Wonderful hotel, but bring gallons of water with you to drink.
The staff are amazing, the breakfast is very nice, the beaches are amazing, wonderful views and very relaxing.
The only thing preventing a ten star review is the water situation. If you are staying for 2 nights you might not notice but if you are staying any longer bring water, gallons and gallons of it. You are on an island and the only water is in 330ml bottles. They give one or two of the complementary but you should be drinking a minimum of 10 of these bottles a day to stay hydrated- that is a MOUNTAIN of plastic and a lot of work. The world is transitioning to personal reusable water bottles. Isolated on an island this is sort of a BIG deal. Thinking of a lunar hotel with air sold in small bottles- doesn’t matter how nice the hotel is if it becomes a challenge to survive cleanly it is not pleasant.

Great potential but…
Beautiful location, nature and beach. Great set up for stunning hotel but…
Small rooms with no cupboards, both room, bathroom and balcony shabby and not very clean. More or less staff does not speak English, so it’s not easy to communicate. We used translator and that helped a lot but it’s time consuming. Most kind and useful person was Lukas! Food was good but they were running out of almost everything! One day they had no Coke!!! Dish and seafood, as well as meat are really good, but no salads! Breakfast choice is very limited… and again no vegetables or salads. All together it could be great with the existing potentials but it needs a lot of work.

An average service in an amazing environment
The view is amazing, each room has a view in the ocean. The place is very quiet near a nice little beach. The food in the restaurant is particularly tasty. Breakfast is delicious with lot of choices. We enjoyed the private beach club in front of the sea. We also really appreciated the small welcome cake in the room.
Unfortunately we noted lot of problems that shouldn’t happen in a 4 stars hotel: -only one staff member could speak English -incomplete information about the hotel rules given upon our arrival, in consequence our room hasn’t been clean after the first night. We had to ask to clean the room at the end of the day when we came back -some small dirt (room table with coffee stain, dog poo inside the beach club near the bench, many beer caps and paper on the grass of the beach club) -no toilet paper in the toilet near the reception -some room facilities are defectives (the luggage bench was nearly broken so you cannot use it, one socket next to the bed wasn’t working, lack of pressure in the shower which was quickly solved by the hotel staff
