The Lantern Guesthouse

Friendliness tranquility personal attention

That we have to leave so quickly

Clean comfortable bed. Spacious room and enough coffee. Near a mall & highway

Cold shower & no WiFi in evening… was working in the morning again

The room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The property felt very secure, with a gated entrance and a large, safe parking area. We also loved the swimming pool area and the barbecue, although the weather was a little too cool for us to use it during our stay. The shared kitchen was well equipped, which was really convenient. The location was also great: central enough to get around easily, but outside the CBD, which made it feel quieter and safer. The guesthouse was peaceful and calm, and we could even hear the birds chirping in the morning.

There was no shampoo or hairdryer provided, so it’s worth bringing your own.

At 1:30 in the early morning hours, the guests next to us arrived, making no effort to be quiet. In fact, they kicked up quite a racket. Then they started talking. Very loudly. At 3am I couldn't stand their noise any more and went to see what was going on. Their door was half open, one lady sat with her feet in the corridor. I said please, you are very loud and we can't sleep at all. She said sorry, they didn't realize. They then closed the door. Continued talking, started to unpack, doors and drawers closing etc. At 3: 30 they began to shower. At last, at 4am everything was quiet and we could try and sleep again. We paid for a good night's sleep and well....we couldn't.
