The annex was an absolute delight to stay in, such a clever use of space in this compact conversion. It was all so beautifully decorated and with everything you would need. Nice touches were everywhere from the lovely bedding, the wraps for cosy evenings, the compact table and chairs for eating to the well stocked kitchenette on the ground floor with all you needed to make a meal. The heater was much appreciated in there too.
It was all spotlessly clean on arrival and everywhere smelled gorgeous due to the room diffusers around. We had ample space to unpack and plenty of spaces to store bits and bobs.
The bathroom was compact and very cleverly appointed but comfortable with a lovely hand soap and shower gel provided. Good spacious parking on the property and very private.
It’s a lovely quiet road with the fabulous Purple Pantry cafe and farm shop just a short walk away.
The internet I understand gives some challenges in the village but the owners are looking at ways to improve it with boosters.

wifi was off that night and there is very poor 4/5G network so we stuggled to watch anything

Very good value, self catering facilities, easy access.

Nice village, nice area. Clean and tidy.
1. Very very cold. Put heating up to full, went to the local pub for a couple of hours - when I came back it was still uncomfortably cold so I climbed into bed.
2. Big, astonishing loud, metallic, resonating clanking sound at various occasions during the night. At least 30 times. Not a good night’s sleep.
3. Almost no WiFi signal (both iPhone and iPad). Got one bar once in one place in the room and never again.
4. Tap in the little sink in the en-suite never came warm (despite long running in various positions).

The property is simply outstanding. The views and quite location were perfect for a quite peaceful, restful night. I slept like a baby. The Annex was 10/10 on the cleanliness front. The host was lovely and even left us some milk and cookies.
I am being really really picky here, a shelf in the bathroom to put your products on would have been great and better WIFI.

Clean.
No outside space and having to carry hot drinks upstairs.
5.0 / 10.0
All spotlessly clean & fresh.
A mention in the description of the premises of a steep staircase to the room would have been helpful - we would not have booked to stay there.
In high temperatures it would be more comfortable to have the choice of a cotton sheet or the 10.5 Duvet.

We were visiting Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge so ideal location. Very quiet and relaxing area. Annexe had all we needed for the short stay we had.
Would be nice addition if there was a small outside seating area. Nothing fancy just table and couple of chairs to enjoy a drink outside.

Just a shelf in the bathroom, and shower, but didn’t spoil anything about our stay, it was a beautiful annex thank you Sally.

The small kitchenette allows visitors to prepare their own meals.
The only thing I would have liked, which wasn't provided, would be a small wardrobe, or hanging rail. But everything else was thoughtfully provided. I hope to stay there again sometime.

Lovely peaceful location, handy for Bury St Edmunds. The Annexe is a little gem, a proper pull-on-your-Slippers-and-relax place. Very clean and well thought out. Simple, nicely equipped kitchen, Nespresso coffee machine was an extra treat. Nothing had been overlooked, for example a tray for taking food and drinks upstairs to the table by the window.
We were there the right week to enjoy the verdant unfurling of the leaves on the chestnut tree while at the back the fascinating rooks put on a flypast every night. Delightful.
Don't miss the Purple Pantry a short walk away up the lane, further on is Cavenham common and the River Lark Path all the way to Barton Mills and Mildenhall, if you can brave crossing the A11.
Air fresheners and scented laundry fluids.
This is often a problem for us as we are highly sensitive and react, although hotel laundry doesn't cause us to react, perhaps they use hypoallergenic fluids. Hard to avoid when staying away, and no reflection at all on the accommodation or hosts.

Location near the A14 brilliant for exploring Suffolk Coast to the east and Ely/Cambridge to the west. Friendly, helpful hosts
A hair dryer and iron would have helped.

Can’t comment on property as due to illness couldn’t complete our stay we wanted to rearrange dates but unfortunately despite booking site’s assistance unable to do so
Contacted the owners more than 24hrs in advance to try and rearrange due to illness(I have an unpredictable chronic illness which affects my mobility and a poor immune system). Extremely unhelpful offered no guidance on the official process and no genuine care. I finally worked out how to request a free cancellation but by then was too late and owners refused to assist even with involvement from booking site(who were lovely and actually tried to help) Extremely disappointed as Sally only seemed to care about getting our money and once she had that didn’t make any efforts only a variety of excuses. Such poor customer service. I appreciate this is a business trying to make income however As a customer service business owner myself I would never treat anyone as I was treated. As a minimum I would have tried to assist and shown some genuine human interest as they took £75 from us and we received nothing in return except stress and upset. So disappointing.

Compact but very clean with excellent facilities perfect for overnight stay

The fact that I was independant of host throughout my stay but knew they were close by if needed. Extra cold water was waiting in fridge!
Internet was not stable, it kept cutting out when I was least expecting it.

The Annexe was spotless and had all the basics provided. We were very comfortable and able to relax as it was so quiet. An ideal place to stay for a short break in Suffolk.
It was a little more compact than we were expecting, and a second soft chair would have been nice.

A warm welcome from our hosts, Sally and Simon plus a very nice touch to have a bottle of fizz on chill. The property was very clean, well presented and comfortable.
Only a minor point but the Wi-Fi connection wasn’t good and we lost connection for 2 hours while trying to watch an international rugby match on Prime.

Everything we needed including simple breakfast. Very safe and very quiet. Only thing that could have been better was shower but it was adequate.
Some people might like a firmer bed but I can’t think of anything to complain about!

This is a fantastic place to stay for anybody wishing to visit the area, it is so easy to find. Sally and Simon met us to hand us the keys, they are very friendly. The accommodation was immaculately clean, the kitchen area is nice for making food to eat. There is so much natural light from the windows The shower was easy to use to find an ideal temperature,. The bed was so comfy, we felt like we were floating on a cloud, and it had an good selection of pillows, we had an amazing few nights sleep. It is perfectly placed for popping into town or having wonderous walks right on the doorstep as it is set in a backdrop of lovely countryside in an idyllic and welcoming quaint little village. This accommodation is highly recommended from ourselves and we personally would definitely stay again, we would not bother wasting our time looking for anywhere else, as no other place could be better or even come close, We could not fault it in any way, we both feel so rejuvenated after our stay.

Tuddenham is a lovely location just outside Bury St Edmunds.
We hadn't realised it was an annexe over a garage, and that the kitchen was downstairs, table and chairs upstairs. Quite difficult for us. The shower doesn't work if the owneris watering the garden.
