We loved our stay - beautiful decorations, clean rooms, welcoming staff, and overall a lovely place.

The location was great because we could easily get out and walk around Yellow Springs. We loved having access to shops and restaurants nearby as well as outdoor hiking.

We wish the breakfast was more reasonable in price. Coffee available in the lobby would be nice (so I don't wake my partner in the morning when making it in the room). A refrigerator would also be helpful.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and very friendly staff.

The friendly staff. The room was nice and clean and it was very roomy and comfortable. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was like out of a magazine. The hotel is located downtown therefore within walking distance to stores and restaurants. Every floor is beautifully painted with light colors yet very tasteful.

There wasn’t anything I disliked about the property. It’s a beautiful hotel.

The breakfast was not included, but Emma's Place in the lobby is a lovely restaurant. I fell in love with their Honeybee Latte.

My room was on the street side so there was a little noise. The room I had before, there was no noise.

Wonderful girls weekend

Had a wonderful stay. The staff was awesome. The room was nice. Easy to walk to all the stores and restaurants

On the third floor, we had difficulty getting hot water. Had to run the shower a while before it got hot.

Great location and facility, friendly professional staff.

Super great location. Beautiful facility. Plenty of free parking behind the hotel. We could easily walk to many quaint restaurants and interesting shops. The extensive paved bike trail goes right through Yellow Springs. Many hiking options nearby at Glen Helen, Clifton Gorge, and John Bryan State Park. Just North of town is Youngs Dairy which has evolved into its own theme park...it is so popular it has its own traffic light on State Route 68.

It’s a lovely and clean building and it’s right in the heart of yellow Springs. Very close to the college.

No elevator to second floor. I had hurt my back recently before going there and it was difficult getting the luggage up the stairs.

Inspiring and uplifting hospitality in a freshly updated grand hotel.

I love the porch and entry areas. It is a small, grand hotel. The bright colors of the fabrics and furnishings add a lot to the getaway experience.

If I spend that much on a hotel, I don’t want to be nickel and dimed for bottled water. There was salmon colored mold in the grouting of the bathtub.

Overall, it was a nice stay.

Breakfast was good. I like the location. Easy to access the trail.

I would like to have had a refrigerator in the room. Also, they have no ice machines. They provide bags of ice in a chest, which is not refrigerated. Consequently, the ice is partially melted and you would need a hammer to break up the ice in order to use it. For what you pay for a room, I would expect better.

I have never cared for the bathroom set-up. Hooks are too high for clothing after a shower and the fans just do not exhaust the hot moist air from the shower. My wife would prefer an iron and board in the room.

Sweet, friendly hotel

The staff was so friendly and kind! My room was large and very comfortable. Yellow Springs is a quaint little town and I enjoyed my visit. The hotel is on the main street and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance.

My one complaint-- street noise was a bit bothersome (second floor room). But overall I really enjoyed my stay.

Stellar property in a lovely town

A fantastic property - immediately felt welcomed and at home. Our room on the third floor was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely common seating area just outside the door. Had an excellent breakfast at Ellie’s, best pancakes ever. And this may sound odd, but there was a pretty violent storm and the tornado sirens went off - the staff jumped to make sure all the guests were out of their rooms and going down to the cellar in quick order - how could there be better attention to our comfort than to our safety.

A clean pleasant hotel to stay

I was greeted with a very pleasant receptionist with a compliment warm cookies. She was efficient and checked us in right away. It is nice to feel that we were welcomed to the hotel after a long drive and to start the stay with. The lobby was nicely decorated, room was species enough and very clean, the bed was comfortable and we slept well, which I rarely able to do at a hotel. We enjoyed complacently rental bike for few hours to go biking near by. The hotel and around area was not our destination this time but, I would like to come back just to stay this hotel and bike around the area sometimes. Hotel breakfast, additional fee for us, was freshly cooked and delicious. I fully enjoyed the stay here and highly recommend the hotel!

Loved everything! The location is perfect….right in the middle of all the towns shops. The rooms were spacious and so cozy. It’s like staying in someone’s well appointed mansion. The attention to the details from the decor, the food at Ellie’s, the staff…. Loved it all!
