Katve Nature Retreat

Beautiful, tastefully furnished house in a wonderful natural setting. The hosts have put a lot of thought into making the stay enjoyable, with plenty to do right on the property – boats, stand-up paddleboards, opportunities to explore nature and outdoor games. It was also convenient that the nearest town, Kirkkonummi, a lovely local shop and a barbecue spot (FireFish) were all very close. Joel was always easy to reach, very friendly and helpful.

It was our first time sharing a property with other guests (two houses with two apartments each). However, everyone was very nice, quiet and respectful, so we never felt disturbed.

Proximity to Helsinki, sauna set-up was lovely and well kept, lake very close to house with free use of paddle boards and boat, quality bedding, nice chairs on deck and hammocks, nature trail

We weren’t quite sure how the cabins were laid out (2 sets of semi-detached joined cabins) based on the booking.com images. A few appliances were less efficient than expected (e.g. oven).

Superb setting, lake and cabin are both stunning with lots of walks nearby. Feels remote and yet the town with shops is only 12 minutes away. Perfect! Boat and SUP are there ready to go if needed. BBQ ready to go. Hosts are super responsive via messenging if you need anything. Thank you for providing and setting up a travel cot for us, and we had everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen.
