The Leat

Perfect if you are looking for modern, comfortable accommodation in the quiet countryside. View through the large doors across the beautiful pond was lovely - lots of birds to see. No steps/stairs at the accommodation, and with large walk-in showers in both ensuite bathrooms, it is great for anyone with restricted mobility.

On arrival we found that the oven contained used dirty pans - I guess the cleaner did not check it, but otherwise the accommodation was very clean.

Die Betten sind herrlich bequem. Das Cottage liegt mitten im Grünen, es ist unglaublich ruhig. Trotzdem ist man schnell in der nächsten kleineren Stadt und es gibt etliche National Trust Häuser in der Nähe. Ein Auto braucht man allerdings schon.

Thus is a lovely rural place to recharge and just relax.

Excellent high-class property, very comfortable and peaceful surroundings. Everything was provided in terms of all self-catering requirements - Staying again in March and looking forward to returning.

minor points but important. The outdoor lighting was very poor, it's obviously very dark at this time of year and being in the countryside it is even darker but the motion detector lights worked intermittently and only came on as you were basically at the front door, you need a torch (we used our phones) after you park up and approach the property. Also, the property needs an outdoor light by the gates, even if it is just highling the name sign of the property, it is so easy to drive past the property in the dark (we did, but rang Natalie and she directed us). Googlemaps Sat nav takes you past the property, we had 3 x family visitors and they all drove past it and missed it and we had to direct them in.
