Remodeled Family Size Beach Retreat, Closest Cottage to Lake Michigan as far as the Eye Can See!!!
Completely remodeled in 2018, this house carries the charm of its 100 year history, is equipped with most modern comforts and conveniences, and is ready to build family memories. The location couldn't be more perfect, or rare! This is THE closest house to the water as far as you can see North or South from the deck!
There are no scalding dunes to cross, or never ending stairs to climb, just amazing endless shoreline and panoramic views from almost every room! The Lake Michigan sunset doesn't get better or CLOSER than this! Enjoy expansive enclosed decks, great for children and well-behaved dogs. Brand new seawall (2021) encloses a private raised beach area just a few steps off of the lower deck.
Your nesting space has sleeping arrangements for 10 people. Accommodations include:
- Lower master bedroom with King size bed and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower and two sinks overlooking the Lake
- Upper bedroom with Full size bed and closet/dresser
- Lower bedroom with Queen bed and a twin bunk bed (child-safe with railings)
- Lower bedroom with two twin beds
- Lower sleeper sofa with 60-inch wide by 65-inch long mattress
Three full bathrooms:
- One in the master suite (tub)
- One other on the lower level (tub) + washer/dryer
- One on the upper level (shower)
The home has two living room areas, one upper and one lower:
The upper living area features access to the expansive deck off of the kitchen, TV, wet bar, gas fireplace, beautiful fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and full bathroom. The lower level features a living room with sleeper sofa, TV, access to enclosed deck, full bathroom, twin bedroom, bunk plus queen room and Master with adjoining full bathroom, both with amazing water views!
Your nest is also equipped with a vacuum, high chair, rocking chair, fireplace grate, folding table and chairs for 6, beach chairs, toys, beach towels, games, 2 outdoor picnic tables to accommodate 12 total, umbrellas, outdoor grill, and 8 Adirondack chairs. The upper level deck has dining tables and seating for 10.
Parking is located at street level with newly decked, enchanting wooded staircases and pathway to follow down to your nesting place at the waters edge! Start building your lake shore memories today, and come back to nest often!

The house has a great location right on the water and the beach is clean and great to walk on and collect rocks/shells. The listing pictures are older as the beach is closer than what it appears (no trees/shrubs to walk through) but the home has some definite wear and tear also not seen in the pictures. Our biggest complaint was the lack of dedicated parking which was not known at booking. We were parking 3 vehicles on the street and found ourselves in constant battle with neighbors who claimed spots to be their personal property. Overall the location can’t be beat but just be aware the home comes with quirks.
