Rooks' Retreat is a contemporary family friendly home in Hodgeston, located just 3 miles from Pembroke, 7 miles from Tenby & 1 mile from Freshwater East with its beautiful golden beach and spectacular cliffs. Manorbier, a well known surfing mecca is another beach within 2 miles of the cottage. A narrow lane winds from Hodgeston to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath, which you can reach after a twenty minute walk. The cottage is in an ideal location to explore the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park & South Pembrokeshire beaches and countryside. Discount is available in November-March when only two people are staying, enquire directly.
Rooks Retreat is situated right next to the village green on an 'Access Only' lane and with a large fully fenced back garden you can be assured your children will have a wonderful time. We accept 2 well behaved pets, and the cottage's 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms provide great versatility. There is an ensuite bedroom on the ground floor suitable for people with limited mobility. The French doors from this bedroom open onto a sheltered patio. There is oil-fired central heating controlled with individual radiator thermostats, so you are as warm as toast whatever the weather or season. There is also an atmospheric electric fireplace in the sitting room. The open plan sitting/dining room has French doors opening onto the back garden & all rooms are full of light. You will have: a large wide screen TV with Freeview with three more wide screen TVs in the bedrooms plus unlimited free WiFi . There is a good signal for most mobile phone networks.

Loved our weeks stay at the cottage!We found it very quiet which is what we like!The fenced garden was ideal for our little dog!Looking forward in staying in January 2026 for 26 nights!

We did enjoy our stay and there were many positives eg bathrooms and bedrooms to support family needs. It was great to be able to talk and cook. The enclosed back garden was just right for our dog. Books and jigsaws greatly enjoyed by grandson. On the negative side was the soiled pants in a drawer in the games room :( My husband and I slept downstairs and on a few nights were disturbed by the noise of guests arriving / going out in the B and B next door. The spot lights were activated lighting the room brightly and setting the dog off in fits of barking! Lounge space was … tight. Didn’t appreciate / consider the settee sizes and floor area available when looking at photos. Thank you

Property is fine but is in need of upgrading and a re-fresh but it was good value for what we paid so really should not complain
