Welcome to The French Cottage, your cozy lakefront retreat on the beautiful Cayuga Lake. Whether you're here to fish, hike at nearby Taughannock Falls, or simply relax and take in the stunning lake views, this charming vacation home has something for everyone.
Inside, you'll find plank flooring throughout and an open floor plan that's perfect for spending quality time together. The spacious galley kitchen is fully equipped for meal prep, and the dining table is a great spot to enjoy a homemade dinner or sip a glass of Finger Lakes wine.
There are three private bedrooms upstairs—one queen, one with two doubles, and one with two twin beds—so everyone has a comfy place to rest after a day of adventure. The cottage sleeps up to eight guests comfortably, making it a great choice for families or groups.
Just steps from your door, you'll have 60 feet of natural lake frontage to enjoy, along with a permanent dock perfect for fishing, launching a kayak, or soaking up the sun. The gradual slope of the lot makes it easy to access the water and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
When you want to explore the area, head to The Boathouse Beer Garden for a refreshing drink or visit nearby wineries like Buttonwood Grove and Hosmer Winery. For dining with a view, Wolffy's Grill and Marina is just a short drive away. And don't miss the breathtaking hikes and waterfalls at Taughannock Falls State Park, just minutes from the cottage.

Everything was as described and clean. The only negative-if you can call this a negative- is that there was no stash of plastic wrap or foil to wrap leftovers and no salt and pepper. Every place we have rented on VRBO had these.

We had a great time while staying at this cottage. We really loved being right on the lake and having 4 kayaks for the family to use. My boys loved taking nightly kayak adventures after dinner and fishing right off the dock.
