"Surf Song" is a fantastic beach townhouse for you. Located at Fort Morgan Townhomes. Sitting Gulf front on the Fort Morgan beaches, you just can't get any more "on the beach" than this. Internet provided but not guaranteed.
With Surf Song's bright, beachy furnishings, you will feel you've escaped to your own private Island getaway.
Situated near the end of Ft Morgan, Alabama you can enjoy the beach to the historic Ft Morgan State Park, it's that close! This unit is also hidden from the street over a dune and far from the crowds inside the city limits.
The fully-furnished kitchen, cable TV, wireless high-speed internet, full washer & dryer, and comfortable furnishings ensure that the stay at Surf Song will feel like home away from home! What's more, there are 4 balconies all with Gulf views (2 of which are Gulf front).
You can enjoy fun in the sun by day, and head into town for shopping & dining by night. But don't worry; there are plenty of restaurants locally situated as well. A local favorite, Tacky Jack's, is across the street right next to the Marina.
Why choose to vacation in the Fort Morgan, Alabama area? Located on the west end of Pleasure Island's peninsula, Fort Morgan offers the same beautiful white sand beaches found within the city limits of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach but without the crowds. The absence of high-rise condos means you can enjoy the sunrises and sunsets from almost anywhere in the area. The beaches in Fort Morgan are dog friendly, and dog owners can bring along "man's best friend" to enjoy the best nature has to offer as well! (Law requires dog be on a leash,) The Marina in Fort Morgan offers charter fishing and dolphin cruises, and the Marina store has beach items and necessities to purchase that you may have forgotten to bring along. Several great restaurants offer fresh seafood, burgers, pizza, as well as Mexican fare. If you feel like heading into the city, Gulf Shores is just a 15-20 minute drive away.
Things to do in the area include: enjoying the gorgeous beaches and beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico, shelling, fishing, bird watching, biking, shopping, dining out, and more!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely facility. The outdoor closet was stocked with beach toys, umbrella and a couple of chairs. We left even more kids beach toys and an inflatable boat.

The first evening we arrived, we were stunned to be able to see the Milky Way in the night sky. Having no high rises meant much less light and less people, which is exactly what we wanted. Oil rigs and tankers did mar the horizon a bit, but the peace and beauty and tranquility of the area more than compensated.
The water? The first two days it was crystal clear--as clear as I've ever seen the surrounding waters. We could watch schools of fish swimming though the waves all day long. The beach was lovely as well, with many protected dunes.
We now know our dog loves the beach too--everything about it.
As for the unit itself, just exceptional. I've never stayed anywhere so close to the Gulf. The Gulf sights and sounds were magnificent and awe inspiring every single day from multiple balconies. Everything was clean, stocked and comfortable. We could hear kids from the next door unit running up and down the stairs, but other than that we might as well have been in our own beachhouse. I think after a day into our trip, we signed up for a 2023 beach trip around the same time. Everything was already booked up but a five day window, and I'm not surprised. This is an absolute gem and incredibly affordable given what you get for your money. Just exceptional. We're grateful and can't wait to return!
