As the name suggests, Riverbank Cottage is tucked away on the banks of the River Severn, enjoying impressive views over the water. Activity centres can be found in Much Wenlock and Condover near Shrewsbury. There’s also horse racing at Ludlow and the National Trust property Attingham Park nearby. If you’re willing to go further afield, Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Erddig are all within an hour’s drive on the other side of the England-Wales border. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
