Holiday Hideaway is a charming, cozy mountain retreat with an open floorplan, a full kitchen with a fridge/freezer, an oven and cooktop, and more. The kitchen is open to the living and dining area, which features a dining table for 4, and a living area with comfy furniture, and an HD Smart TV above the electric fireplace. The sofa in the living area opens to provide a full-sized mattress for extra sleeping (1 adult or 2 children). The sleeping area has a nice king bed, flanked by big bedside tables and lamps. The adjacent full bathroom is nicely updated and has a large soaking tub with a shower.
Through sliding glass doors from the living area and the sleeping area, the covered rear deck reveals seasonal winter mountain views, yet feels like a treehouse nestled among the mature treetops when the trees are in full foliage! There is comfy seating as well as outdoor dining on the rear deck.
Perched atop Beech Mountain, Holiday Hideaway is a single-level condo with an open and efficient interior, a spacious bathroom, a level front-door entry, and easy access from the parking area, only a flight of steps down from the parking level to the front access deck and entrance. Guests can walk from the property to Beech Mountain Ski Resort and enjoy snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snow tubing, and sledding. Also within walking distance are restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and more.
Buckeye Lake and Recreation Center is only 3 miles from the property and features a large lake with fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, and more. There is a large covered pavilion with bathrooms, grills, picnic tables, and more, all overlooking Buckeye Lake. The 22,000 square foot recreation center offers basketball, volleyball, tennis, weight and fitness equipment, outdoor sporting fields, a playground, an obstacle course, a climbing area, as well as numerous biking, walking, and hiking trails. All guests are welcome to enjoy the lake and recreation center but need to contact the rec center for information on hours, availability, and per-day guest fees. Holiday Hideaway can sleep 3 adult guests comfortably and up to 4 guests if 2 children use the full sleeper sofa, as the additional sleeping option is the full-sized sleeper sofa. The full bathroom features a soaking tub with a shower along with an updated vanity, lighting, and flooring. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge and freezer, oven and cooktop, microwave, toaster, and more! Cook and serve full meals in style at Holiday Hideaway. The HD Smart TV in the living area offers digital cable programming. High-speed WiFi internet offers guests convenient connectivity.
*Although there is not a washer/dryer in the condo, there is a shared laundry facility onsite just a short walk away that guests are welcome to use.
**One small dog (25 pounds or smaller) is allowed per reservation, standard pet fees apply, must have crate or kennel when the dog is left unattended. Pets are not allowed on any furniture!

Great little place with easy access to Beech MtnnSki resort. Went to the Land of Oz festival and the condo was very convenient. Management company called to make sure all was ok and see if we needed anything else.

We are homeowners at Beech Mtn, but we had a few extra folks in town for the weekend. The Holiday Getaway was conveniently located, reasonably priced, and perfect for our son and his girlfriend.
One small criticism is communication. Our son accidentally left one of his uniform shirts behind. It took 3 emails and 2 phone calls to find someone who could tell us where to pick it up.

Our room was clean with more things furnished than we imagined. Plenty of area to walk the dogs. Parking is a bit cramped but I noticed that everywhere. The only downside I found at all was that we didn’t have a pass to show the attendant at the dump for our trash but, he understood and took our trash anyway.

Location on the mountain is great. The condo is older, however the floors have been updated and the king size bed was very comfortable (both the mattress & the bedding). The bathroom heater was wonderful and the shower/bathtub were nice.
The pull out couch bed was terrible for sleeping on. There is signage in the studio to take trash to community drop off but the closest drop off requires a pass to throw away household garbage. The owner did not leave one for us to use. There is apparently one further away that does not require a pass but we stayed for 6 days and so that was an inconvenience. You can purchase a temporary pass from Freds if you would like. If you use the oven, cook at a lower temp than normally required and for less time, the unit is undersized and we learned the hard way it doesn't cook the same as a regular unit. The floors are not level in the unit (bathroom and kitchen noticeably higher). No dishwasher in the unit.
