About this apartment rental
This fourth floor, remodeled oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the sought after ocean side of the elevator. It has a great ocean view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. It is a one bedroom, one and one half bath unit (680 sq ft). It has been remodeled and refurnished, and is lovely in every way!
The unit has porcelain flooring in the hallway, kitchen and bathrooms. The bedroom and living room are carpeted. All the maple cabinetry is consistent throughout the unit, and all countertops and vanities are topped with beautiful granite. The kitchen is fantastic! It is fully equipped with white appliances, including a fridge/freezer, flat top stove , quiet dishwasher, multi function microwave oven, garbage disposer and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, crock pot, rice maker and hand mixer. There is also a large selection of higher end cookware, baking pans, BBQ tools and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery.
The living room has a high quality queen size sofa-bed and a large 56" flat screen LCD HD color TV, DVD player, and a multi speed ceiling fan.
The dining area has a round table with 4 matching leather chairs.
The private lanai has a bistro table with two reclining bistro chairs – a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner! Turtles and dolphins can be seen year round, whales in season.
The entry hall is tiled, with a tropical rattan dresser. There is free high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada.
The bedroom has a California King size bed, multi speed ceiling fan, beautiful Koa Hawaiian style wood furniture, plantation shutters, clothes closet, digital security safe.
The bathroom has a full size, walk in shower with an adjustable spray shower head. There is a beautiful vanity with granite counter top.
This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are NOT supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays. Coin laundry facilities are available on site.
The unit has free, wireless high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada. It is also equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys!
This unit is an excellent choice for guests who are looking for high end accommodation with a spectacular location and unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui mountains.
Rates for one bedroom units are for up to 2 people. 3rd and 4th persons in the unit are $25/nt for adults and $15/nt for persons under 18. Maximum 4 people.
Kihei Surfside Resort is located at 2936 S. Kihei Road, South Kihei at the entrance of beautiful Wailea. This is the desert part of Maui, where the sun shines more than any other part of the island. The Kihei Surfside Resort consists of an absolute oceanfront concrete building of 6 floors and 84 deluxe units with an elevator. There is free parking on site. The resort is a twenty-five minute drive from the Kahului Airport (OGG). Rental cars are available at the airport or in Kihei town. There are also taxis available at the airport (about $50), a shuttle bus and public transportation.
Virtually all of the properties and resorts in Kihei are either located right on busy S. Kihei Rd., or if they are set back from the road - are across from the street from the ocean. One unique feature of the Kihei Surfside is that it is located at the quiet end of S. Kihei Road, AND is set back 300 feet from S. Kihei Road AND is located right on the ocean! Because it is hard to see from the road, many first time Surfside guests say that even though they have visited Kihei many times, they had never seen the resort!
Another unique feature of the property is that we have a 2 acre, immaculately kept oceanfront lawn area with dozens of loungers, with a heated swimming pool and deluxe barbeque facilities. In season, there are daily whale sightings from both the grounds and lanais. In fact, the Pacific Whale Foundation conducts their annual whale count from our property. The building is located at the north end of Keawakapu Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui(voted Maui's most romantic), where you can walk for miles past some of the most expensive oceanfront homes on the island and the luxurious hotels of Wailea.

This place was just perfect. Stunning views of the ocean, a clean and well-stocked apartment and a pool or beach a few mins walk away. The building has a friendly local feel with a few permanent residents and the reception staff were super friendly.

The Surfside condo is in a fantastic location with the best view you could ask for. The picture doesn’t lie. We loved the park like setting where the community came together every evening at sunset. A tradition of blowing the conch shell at dusk was a nice touch.The condo itself was well equipped for anything you could want!!! ... except for air conditioning. It was a bit warm at night and the trade winds died down so not much of a breeze. The bedroom windows are the only ones on the inland side so to get a cross breeze they need to be open. They also face the walkway and parking lot. Most people are very respectful of quite time but if you’re a light sleeper you will hear the early risers. There are many fans to help keep you cool at night.Communication with the manager was very responsive and helpful. I had a small problem with some pillows that didn’t suit me. I called the manager and explained my rough night and they purchased firm pillows that next day with a extra sweet touch of silk pillowcases!!! Oh my goodness- who does that?? Simply perfect! Thank you so much Larry and Daffnie I will definitely stay here again!
