Expensive for the area and for what you get

The actual building is good and pretty, the Superior Double room is big with a fridge, they've got a cute little terrace to chill out on.

The staff could definitely have been more friendly, slightly hostile. The king size bed was actually just two single mattresses put together which causes for uncomfortable sleeping for two when there's a dip in the middle. Breakfast is okay but it's just a choice between fruit/yoghurt or Tamale- could be better with more choice

adequate accommodations with great location

the best thing about this property is the location! fantastic spot central to everything in historic Oaxaca. I was able to walk to everything. the breakfast is adequate and fresh. overall the stay was ok in terms of comfort. The mattress was a bit on the stiff side bit still comfortable. I

would say the one big negative for me was the bathroom. it was cramped, no place to put even your toothbrush on the sink and there was clearly some mold starting to lift the paint. there was no door on the shower so the water would splash everywhere so it was hard to keep the bathroom clean and dry in between housekeeping.

It's a good little hotel, in a great location, with delightful staff.

The location is very good. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooftop yoga/workout area was a real bonus.

The room had doors, but no windows, so to let air in at night meant leaving the door open.

Not worth the money

Very central location and comfortable bed

After two nights we had to change the room and the second room was just on the courtyard where a cafe operates so it was quite noisy in the morning and it the night we kept being awake by the bell. Rooms are poorly furnished with no hooks, towel racks in the bathrooms. Poor breakfast (just plate of fruit). Overall there are much better places in Oaxaca for this price

Stay somewhere else, Hotel Casantica has private bathrooms and better prices.

The cleaning lady, Lupe was the only good thing about this experience.

The hotel customer service, hotel owner messaging directly through Whatsapp at midnight. Zero accountability, by the fact that the room was label as "twin room with PRIVATE external bathroom" but the bathroom was shared with other rooms/guest and even hotel staff. When asked about this the hotel staff said "it is a private bathroom as the door has a lock on it". Hotel denied request to allow us to change hotels after the 1st night, refused to compensate for misleading advertising of this room, and refusing to change the description/label of this room so future guest do not get tricked like we did. I am adding pictures of the booking.com site where it shows this hotel's rooms descriptions are confusing and not clear when it comes to their facilities.

Loved the space, the bar on site, the roof top hang out area, and the staff

Make sure not to get in too late. The main hotel door is locked at night, and sometimes there’s no one there to let you in if you come back late.

El baño estaba afuera pero no al lado, sino que había que caminar, no era bonito y tampoco le hacían regularmente aseo, 2 veces nos salió el agua helada, y en una de das veces se acabó el agua y me tuve que bañar con balde-

La ubicación

El día que ingresamos el baño no teñí shampo , cremas , ni demás complementos . Se supone que decía desayuno pero no especificaba qué tipo, fue solo fruta o un tamalito , y café o té . Decía que tenía estacionamiento y cuando llegamos nos informaron que había que pagar extra y que no estaba dentro del mismo inmueble , era “ cerca” .

Nuestra estadía fue muy buena, es una ciudad hermosa.

Está muy bien ubicado el hotel. Su personal es muy atento y amable y en cuanto pudieron nos cambiaron de habitación. Obviamente pagando el extra.

La limpieza de la habitación que hacen cada día no es buena. La habitación fue muy pequeña y con el baño afuera, es verdad que yo reservé así pero no entendí muy bien eso de baño privado externo, me resfrié en nuestras vacaciones por tener que salir al baño en la noche o luego de bañarse temprano en la mañana. Esa habitación no deberían ofrecer a sus clientes ya que si tienen más habitaciones con baño dentro de la habitación. En las duchas cae muy poca agua deben poner bomba porq si todos se bañan a la vez no cae casi nada de agua. El internet no es bueno.

Excelente ubicación, el personal fue muy amable

Se escuchaba todo lo del cuarto de al lado, la separación era mínima. El colchón estaba forrado en plástico y hacía mucho ruido y nos tocó insistir mucho para que lo quitaran. El cuarto es realmente muy pequeño. La opción vegetariana del desayuno es muy poca (frutas con una gotita de yogur y una gotita de granola). El aire acondicionado hace mucho ruido, te despierta cada rato en la noche y como el cuarto no tiene ventana, es imposible apagarlo sin sancocharse. Sale muy poquita agua de la ducha.

La habitación que me toco esta bonita ,limpia, peroooo una purta divide de el cuarto de aun lado escuchábamos todo hasta destapar una botella :( y nuestro baño era privado ,pero externo teníamos q cruzar una habitación para llegar solo nosotros la usábamos, pero puede resultar incomodo de noche .

Tienen áreas de mejora.

Es rústico e instagrameable, es visualmente bonito. La habitación es pequeña, pero tenia casi todo lo necesario.

El baño exterior es algo incomodo, la habitación no tenia ninguna amenidad, solamente café, ni jabon o shampoo, tampoco teníamos toallas (nos las dieron al pedirlas), el desayuno es solo de 8 a 10:30 y el aire acondicionado de la habitación no servía, las sábanas estaban rotas.

Cero profesionalismo por parte de el recepcionista que tenían,el personal no cuenta con experiencia en hostelería, baño sin agua caliente para ducha, sin neceseres básicos, Cero personal el joven que hizo su máximo esfuerzo literal me comunico con el administrador y todo lo hice por teléfono como una guía para poder instalarme,terminal bancaria sin función utilice método de transferencia, servicios brindados incluidos no disponibles por falta de operarios, mala experiencia,mala recomendación. Como un hostal estaría perfecto, habitación adjunta con una mascota ladrando todo el tiempo, personalmente tuve que acceder a sus instalaciones de gas para poder apoyar y tener un baño de agua caliente que no tuvimos éxito y prometían al siguiente día accionar el calentador solar. Generemos acciones inmediatas por parte de los operarios y muchas áreas de oportunidad,bajos estándares para la propuesta ofertada
